I've been trying to find ways to relax. I'm not really any good at it. Just came back from being at sea for two weeks, isolated from society. It was extremely pleasant.

Now I'm back and I find myself lost in society and its stresses. I work 12 hour days and sleep about 6 to 7. Research is my only outlet, my field being in Marine Biology. That and watching too much true crime dramas, but watching serials about betrayal and murder might not be a healthy way of de-stressing. Allegedly.

So I'm fielding suggestions. I'm sure you're all a very calm and collected bunch who can be of help.

On an unrelated note: fish don't smoke. And never will. Evolution doesn't work that way.

I believe so. I don't subscribe to religion myself but I see no harm in the unity. Sometimes it's more close-minded to insist one way is the right way.

how do you decide which path you take then, jotaro kujo? i believe you're right, there are always many choices, but what makes one stand out?

I follow my instinct. You need to be true to yourself before anyone else.

but what makes your instinct right? is it a trust in yourself that deep down you will always know the true path?

We all make our own choices. In the end, you can only hope you make the best one for yourself in the moment.

come now, it's always a possibility and i would think a learned man such as yourself would have considered the outcome. it's hardly pessimistic to accept that sometimes we will be drawn to mistakes rather than the right course of action.

No one is perfect. You can only do the best you can in the moment. If you make a mistake, accept it and see if you can redeem it.

i agree. every mistake is a trial, as is every failure, every streak of 'bad luck.'

thoughts like that are helpful when you're torn from the world you knew, wouldn't you agree?

I wouldn't disagree.
