Hello. I wish to bring something to you today. Years ago, an imPort by the name of Kate Bishop started a FAQ, with the idea to give every imPort the information they needed about this world and their situation. It was a good idea, but once she was ported out, this FAQ became out of date and it hasn't been updated in years. I wish to bring it back and follow what Miss Bishop wanted to do. I already have her FAQ, which I'll be adapting and updating but given two years have passed since it was written, I think it's necessary to add what today's imPorts want to know and worry about.

That's why I'm making this post. If you have any question you want to see in this FAQ, go ahead and ask. I'll be adding them to the document. And of course, share the document once it's ready.

Yes, and I'll add more to it because the nanites changed a bit over time. Miss Bishop left before it was found that the government could track us through them, and of course before Miss Raina's discoveries on how they are the ones that stabilize our powers.

[ Cisco takes a good five to ten minutes to read through the attached links before responding. It did help clarify some of his questions about the nanites and their link to imPort powers, as well as open up some new lines of thought that inform some of the projects he's been working on. ]

Hm- not much, sorry. It's actually a good question. [ kaneki will also add information on that to the FAQ ]

Power Nullifiers exist. They have a huge variety of range - from just one person and a small bracelet, to a whole building being nullified. They are used by national law enforcement, to keep imPort in prison and to make prison itself safe from powers. The same with some key governmental areas such as Cape Canaveral and the Porter. [ kaneki takes a second to read through his notes. He only has a bit on the nullifiers, so he should add this to his files ]

They interfere with our powers by interfering with the nanites - the nanites stop working and so our powers do as well. [ kaneki tilts his head ] naturally, they interfere with the ability to resurrect and, in theory, they might stop the government from tracking us, but that hasn't been proven. [ they can't really test it, since it's very difficult to work with the nanites ]

The Russians have their own power nullifiers that also interfere with our nanites - which supposedly don't work anymore. The government updated our nanites so no one should be able to hack them, back in 2016 after the Russian invasion.

And-- to your knowledge-- this null tech, it's just used by the government and prisons? Any imPort groups have their hands on this sort of tech?

Technically it's not so readily available. However, I've seen this kind of tech in the hands of OTO, I know some criminal groups in Maurtia Falls have it as well, and RISE might be able to provide some since they work with the government when it comes to arresting imPort criminals.

Okay, switching tacks, and since you brought up RISE: Do you have the rundown of the various imPort team ups that exist or have existed?

Oh- it's fine. I've been here for a while and I'm always writing down notes anyway.

But that information is difficult to get - not many imPorts advertise their "team ups" and many of them would call them organizations rather than... teams. [ please don't use superhero lingo gosh cisco it's embarrassing ] You have Archangel, Constellation, RISE, Menagerie, Justice League... these are the ones that actually advertised. [ justice League might not have advertised but Kaneki knows about it ]

Others just joined together and did something, but they didn't actually have an actual team names. Miss Bishop worked a lot with Loki, for example.

It's a lot. It can be a lifetime to some. I know that. [ imagine child imPorts arriving when they are 15 and becoming adults while here. While that didn't happen to Kaneki, it's still a lot ]

There are some who have been around longer, some who are even from the Alpha City. Itt's a small group, though, Lachesis rarely takes this much interest on someone. [ again, he doesn't know if that makes him lucky or very unlucky ]

Do you think that's what happens when we get ported home? This... "Lachesis" just gets bored of us?

Maybe. She is a megalomaniac frustrating assh- [ asshole ] AI. [ yes. Let's not say asshole on the network like that, it's only polite ] Back in Alpha City she wanted imPorts to do her bidding and to be her knights.

I assume when someone isn't doing what she sees as "knightship", she will send them back. Sadly we don't really know what her standards are.

Yeah, and the freak shows who murder people and show the whole network? That's real knightly behavior.

She was never against murder.
