Hey, it's me! ODIN DARK. [ he puts his hand over his face, shielding the world from the madness that stirs within him. ] When you were a child, were you ever afraid of... the Dark? Gehehuhuhuahahaha.

So, if you can't tell from the billboards of my face hung up all around in basically every city, I'm gonna be on TV! I'm a contestant on that space thing! Which is great because I deserve it more than anyone and I'm really funny and cool and smart and good looking and I'm gonna be naked and lighting things on fire and getting into fist fights and throwing drinks into people's faces like all the time so that everybody gives me attention and votes to keep me around or whatever. Get pumped! But also: I have some games we can play to celebrate? Consider this the second episode of my vlog I guess.

Game one: which of these are you? [ he holds his camera up to rEVEAL A WEREWOLF NAME QUIZ. he gives you about 2 seconds to look at the print out before he's moving on. ]

Game two: not actually a game! Tell me about things you want to see people do on TV so that I can do it. Literally anything. I'm not kidding. I'm going to be in space and I'm telling you right now I will literally do anything you tell me to do if it'll get me the attention I so sorely crave. Actually I guess this is the game in that whoever gives me the most ludicrous assignment wins? Haha. This feeling in my veins - what I once thought to be umbral, soulrendering dread - I now recognize as just super fun excitement.

Game three: TELL ME A SECRET ABOUT ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS SO I CAN SHOUT IT REALLY LOUDLY ON NATIONAL TV. Such an advanced spell... I truly am an excellent sorcerer.

mostly i read poetry, watch sitcoms, write fanfic about said sitcoms, and walk with the madness.

those all seem like pretty fun things. except for the last one which is kind of weird but also sort of par for the course.

outside a storm brews.
the sky crashes, the sound booms
from inside amazement grew.

outside - bright to see.
inside - dark to feel.

outside the storm goes on.
on and on and on and on.
don't be inside.

Things don't last forever when they're wonderful, though.
Like that poem.
It should have gone on until the day I died.

Also, it was kind of depressing?
I appreciate it, but,
I don't really know what to say, except that I hope this isn't indicative of any negative feelings you might harbor towards me,
And that I hope my interpretation of the poem is wrong.
But also it was still very beautiful and I loved it.

[ a pause, and then, cringing into his keyboard and regretting this more and more with every letter he writes, he flips the feed to private. ]

I know that I did the wrong thing in the house.
I don't know what else I could have done,

My nose has been through worse things than the brutish manhandling delivered unto it by a beautiful young woman.
This snout has run red with the rivers of blood far oft than you might think.
I'm not concerned about that at all.
I just wish I could have gotten through to you a little clearer than I did, or else given you some space to work through whatever it was you were going through.
I tried to save you and ended up sort of fucking up?
It was a poor choice.

I hope you're okay.
I know some people are still struggling with the things they saw in there.

Well I was really upset after I finally got out.
I died a couple times in there and it was highly traumatic.
But for like a whole week I did nothing but go to work, come home and binged sitcoms until I passed out and repeated the cycle.
And then I learned I was going to be on the show yesterday, which is the best good news in like forever.

This is all to say that I am ok.
I see things that would break a normal person's psyche all the time. I'm used to it.

I'm glad you've taken the time to take care of yourself.
I don't really like that you're just "used to" things like this... but I'm a soldier who grew up in an apocalyptic wasteland, so it's not like I can say I don't understand.
I would like to do more for you, though, if you'll let me.
Like, maybe make you something nice to eat and drop it by, or write you a story that you'll really enjoy, or buy you the DVD boxset of that Lawson's Creek show or make a pretty 50s dress for you, something like that.
Is there anything, like, that you'd want?
No questions asked no strings attached just one friend helping out another so she stays feeling OK.

Maybe I'll write you some laundromat AU of whatever thing you're into.
Illegally buy fireworks and bring them to your house?

Actually I don't really know a lot of what you like. Since usually most of our conversations are less conversations and more us screaming like crazy primates. Always in a contest to see who can say the more outrageous thing.
