[The face of a man who is pushing forty appears on the network this evening. Casually stroking his beard thoughtfully as he activated his devise for the first time. His brows raising slightly as he realizes it’s broadcasting.]
Oh, hello there.
This is certainly no holo emitter is it?
[His voice sounds as tired as he looks but he carefully keeps his tone neutral.]
I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Ben if that’s easier.
[He has already gotten some strange looks for his exotic sounding name from the locals here in Maurtia Falls.]
Could someone explain to me what “Performance Hypnosis” is exactly?
[Its his assigned job you see and while he knows what hypnosis is, the performance part he’s not really clear on.]

He's an animal, yeah. He's pretty big, but he's friendly.

[Obi-Wan is actually quite fond of animals, including the big ones.]

[he's there fast, mightyena in tow. obi-wan will probably see mightyena first, actually, the big dog barking and running around outside in excitement.]

[And while he's not as fast as Archie, Obi-Wan does get there in due time. He's hard to miss as he's dressed in tan robes with a flowing brown cloak. The Mightyena indeed catching his attention. The man not looking at all concerned about the excited animal as he approaches.]

[Its clear he often doesn’t get compliments on his clothes.]

He's a battle partner! Mightyena is real tough and fast... good for fuckin' with the opponent's stats. He can slow people down and make the weaker.
[or, well, other pokémon. people don't really have stats.]

Battle? You mean you use him to fight?
[Its a bit of an odd concept but not a foreign one. After all animals have been used in war and for law enforcement. Perhaps it’s something like that.]

[he bites his lip, he doesn't mind having to explain all this again, but the wording always makes him feel like he's doing something bad.]
It's a cultural thing back home. Like sparring -- he fights others of his kind. He has a lot of energy and power inside him, so it's good to help him burn it off. They do the exact same in the wild, the difference with me is that he's guaranteed to get the proper treatment if he hurts himself.
[he shrugs.]
If I didn't, he'd get restless with all the energy build up and likely end up taking out one of my walls.

Oh, I see. Well, it's clear that your friend is happy and well taken care of.
[He wasn't judging Archie at all. It wasn't uncommon to have animals who had a purpose with humans after all. So long as they were treated well, Obi-Wan had no qualms.]

[he crouches down and mightyena boofs and runs over to him, jumping into his arms like it hasn't seem him in years. it's just thatexcited. archie laughs as it licks all over his beard.]
The place I was thinkin' of is dog-friendly, too, so I don't gotta return him or anythin'.
