what's a Santa Claus and what does he have to do with all these fancy lights people keep stringing up

[Attached is a picture of some random house decorated with Christmas lights. There's a neon Santa Claus on the rooftop. It's a very old neon Santa Claus, significant portions of his body, sled and reindeer are just not lighting up.

Did we also mention that it's late at night and Han Solo's bored out of his skull?]

why does he need a sled and whatever those things are

they're reindeer right??

christmas is the best!! the lights are always really pretty
santas just a fun tradition for children
but hes based on a christian saint!

well i think you can take part in you want
its just that most adults dont believe in santa

christianity is a religion
its one of the major ones on earth

big enough that there's a holiday for it with a mascot, apparently

how'd that happen, the only other religion I can think of is the one my friend follows and it's not big on holidays

honestly im not sure how saint nicholas went from a religious figure to a holiday mascot
youd think id be better informed
i guess maybe its something you can google if youre really interested tho!

nothing like Santa Claus

lot of holidays a little like Christmas all over the galaxy, but nothing this widespread and definitely nothing that gets this many songs on the radio
