Here's a question for my fellow long-timers, and medium-timers too: has living in this universe changed you? Whether it's through experiences, culture, the people you've met -- do you think you're fundamentally different, on a scale small or large, from the person you would've been if you'd never been grabbed by the Porter? And if the answer's yes, how does that change make you feel?

I just realized today at lunch that I like meat in jello now and I am horrified and ashamed of myself.

Yes, I think I am. I like the change, even if there have been some pretty upsetting things happen to me here. Then again, upsetting things happened to me back in my world, too, so no place is perfect. A lot of good things have happened, too, though -- things I literally could not have experienced back home, no matter how much time passed for me back there.

[She won't get into the details, because some of them she doesn't want to share with the network at large or anything.]

I've never heard of meat in jello??

The 'alive family members' thing (even though they are alternate world versions) has to top my list in that category, for sure.

I really haven't tried it. I assume I'm missing out? or is this an acquired taste thing?
