[ Cassandra actually used to make videos quite often...but that was back before she was a god, and back when she had a camera crew (of two people, but still). She spent a decent amount of time trying to set up her communicator to get a video with decent set-up and lighting, but nothing satisfied her. (Probably lucky. She's pale as hell at this point, and people will notice, although she hasn't realized.)

Plus, anybody who's seen her in the last day or so also knows she's in far from the greatest mood. Ooooh boy is she not. So for once she's had the foresight to start on text instead of video so she can sidestep all of that and avoid worrying about something else. ]

Two things:

1. I know some of you have been here for a while now. Are any of you studying just what's going on with all this? Compiling information on things like Lachesis, or how they're able to give anyone and and their goddamn dog superpowers? I know about what Professor Blake's been working on, but that's it. Clearly there's not much they've left obvious, but we can't have nothing if there's this many of us.

Apparently they haven't done anything to my divining. So if anyone has any items or locations they need analyzed, that's one thing we could work with.

2. There's got to be a way to quit the completely fucking ridiculous jobs they assign us, yes?

[ She said two things, but...hm. After a moment she adds something. ]

3. Stay away from Woden. The fucker's far worse than you think. Trust me.

Shut up, it's the thought, isn't it? [Don't undermine her on this one, Cassandra. There's no jokey, flippant tone here either, Luci sounds legitimately angry that Persephone might not need her support. She takes a moment after that to breathe and calm down before continuing, but she's tipped her hand more than she'd like maybe.]

'Going Imperial'? Is that what we're calling it? [She runs her fingers through her hair and tries to get back to where she usually is.] Agreed though. Woden never does anything by halves, if he was losing his mind and had an insane amount of power, he'd just use it. But is he crazy enough to jump off the proverbial cliff hoping that the Porter will bring him back good as new?

...Sure. [ What else is there to say? To Lucifer? Really. ]

I know Woden would use power. And I know he'll do anything he can to get it. [ It's all quite personal. Maybe that's getting obvious. ] And if Inanna started attacking people eventually? I could see him doing it. He's a shithead, but he can at least do basic research. He must know that the Porter wouldn't keep him dead.

...Fuck off Cassandra. [She was probably an idiot for thinking that maybe now that Cassandra doesn't believe she's a judge-murdering asshole, she might get a little bit of the benefit of the doubt. Apparently not. Well fuck her, the only person's opinion who Luci gives a shit about is Persephone's.]

Alright, so we're going with the theory that Woden went and offed himself in private. Excellent. So it's my turn on deck.

Hey, what the fuck, I didn't even- [ She honestly meant it as more of an expression of disbelief than anything, so she's a little pissed about how Luci is taking it. ] You know what? Whatever.

That turn...can't be soon, can it? How long have you been here?

Yeah. Whatever. [It's the disbelief that pisses her off, honestly. Typecast again, and she always would be. What the fuck else did she expect?]

Seven months. So I've got a year before somebody has to put me down, and guess what? Shockingly I think that's going to be you.

[ Huh. She deeply dislikes Luci, but that's a bit much. ]

Think for once, Cassandra. Even if a dozen of these newly-powered imPorts ganged up on me, somebody would die. [Maybe somebody who liked her who thought she could be saved.] It has to be one of us.

You want to put Persephone through killing me and Inanna? [She's going to leave out the part where she suggested it to Persephone and was outright refused.] Or do you think I deserve whatever Woden's fucked up mind can come up with? Maybe you can convince Dionysus to party me straight off a very, very steep cliff.

[ This is morbid. And a bit much, in her head- she's talking with Luci for the first time since Luci died and this is already being pitched to her? Her in particular?

But it's also...shockingly responsible, if what she's hearing about Inanna is true. Maybe Lucifer actually is putting thought into these things. It would be a full year until anything happens, but... ]

Dio wouldn't. [ Which she only says first because it's her first coherent thought. ] Honestly, I think Woden would love to watch the world burn at this point, as long as he ends up at the top. You can't trust him with far smaller shit than...whatever this is, so.

And no. She...doesn't deserve that. [ She hasn't been very happy with Persephone in awhile, but, well. She's still Laura Wilson, in Cass' head. And she still doesn't want Laura Wilson in jail. Among other things.

She's accepting this, she realizes. Maybe not the best idea? This is Satan she's discussing this with. ] Look, if people are getting sent back and forth all the time, how the fuck are we supposed to know if both you and I are going to be here in a year? I mean, by that time... [ She'd have four months or so. ] Fuck. By that time I might be the only one left who it hasn't happened to.

[It is morbid, but necessary if Persephone isn't going to go off and do something insane like actually try to keep her in a cage with a belled collar.]

We don't know that, but do you really want to leave this conversation for ten months from now? When I might not be thinking clearly and trying to talk you out of offing me? Come on, take advantage while I'm not feeling a terribly strong sense of self-preservation.

...We don't know you'll be the only one. After this happens we could come right back, fresh two years on the clock, rinse and repeat.

Don't- don't even start that. This is more than enough shit to deal with already.

[ This is really happening, isn't it. They're really going to do this. What other choice do they have? ]

You're saying this is just what we're going to have to do now? Everyone planning who they're going to kill off when the time comes around? Make a fucking "Who Kills Who" spreadsheet? We're giving up.

[ Said less like she's calling Luci out, for once, and more like a simple statement. ]

Cassandra, look who you're talking to. I lost every single game the second I ascended, you really think I was fighting to stay alive past my expiration date? You think that's changed here?

If a spreadsheet is how you'd like to stay organized, I hear there's an app for that.

I thought the entire point of being Lucifer was rebelling against things like this. Why stop here? Didn't you say there was already someone here trying to figure out a way around the limit?

[ Did Cass never really get Luci as well as she thought? Yes. ]

[She lets that hang for a beat.]

Look if you want to go find the great Batman, compare notes or some shit, be my guest. But he was an asshole to Persephone, and I think he's stringing her along. Maybe you'll have a different opinion.

I...can't believe this is the direction this conversation is going, but please tell me the person you're talking about isn't the actual fucking Batman.
