I have a strange question...

We're heroes and villains, but how many of us have experience with either role? It's not something that happens overnight.

A lot of things would be nice. They can't happen though.

I do, even before I came here. And here, some people label all of us imports as villains. Or they think we're heroes, which is even more ridiculous.

I just want to live a normal life. For survival and sanity here. I couldn't have either of those things before.

Telekinesis? That could be a powerful weapon. Could you move someone's organs around?

I was once called the Hero With No Fear. They're just titles, in the end. You still should get to know the person behind them to understand their true character.

Even if changes are made, bad stuff can happen. It's better to be prepared.

They called my dad the Minnesota shrike. So I was the shrike's daughter. Got the label just from being born his daughter. Only Hannibal really got to know me back home.

Yeah, a shrike's a predatory bird. It kills things like mice and lizards, them impales them on a sharp point, like a thorny branch or barbed wire, to save and eat later.

[She gives a moment for that explanation to sink in, seeing if he'll understand what her father did.]

I thought about writing a book back home once, so everyone would know I wasn't like him. It's hard though, reminding people of who you really are when they've already made up their minds that you're someone else - something else.
