I know some of you are not human, and even the humans have extraordinary abilities! Ands so... I was wondering. If maybe someone's has some limbs they are willing to part with? Living, organic, non-native ones!

You see, I'm a doctor in the home dimension I came from, and work to develop pharmaceutical drugs! I'd love to do a little bit of science on imPorts to see if there is any non-nanomachine-based way to perhaps improve native abilities to heal.

[This is definitely not a thinly-veiled attempt to get his hands on non-human meat to see how it tastes and if he can even consume it.]

Doesn't need to be a limb, really. Any body part, preferably one you can easily replace.

Well, I'd rather ask to see if someone who has an ability to regrow limbs to demonstrate the ability and provide me with a sample.

If I just wanted to collect limbs to be some kind of Dr. Frankenstein, I would do as the good doctor had done and simply take from corpses under the cover of night.

For the record, breaking it down like that doesn't make you sound like any less of a creeper. [ which percy imagines he's aware of. you don't make a post like this and raise that many red flags without being somewhat prepared. ] I'm not in the medical field, so I'm not even going to pretend I can back you up.

But say you do get a sample, do you think you could actually help people eventually?

Yes yes I'm sure it's very frightening and off-putting, the idea of having to donate a limb for scientific advancement. Especially when the limb in question being asked for is from someone capable of regrowing such a limb.

I think I could! It may take time, trial, and error, but if I can unlock the secret behind any such regeneration, just think of what could be done with it!

Injuries that are currently fatal to natives could become nothing more than a minor inconvenience. People with falling organs can simply replace the one they have. It may even be applicable in research for curing cancers! Who knows? The sky is the limit!

Regardless of whether they can regrow it or not, it's disturbing. But it beats threatening to start hacking limbs off for your research. I'll give you that.

If I meet anyone with the power to heal, I'll ask them if they might be interested. It's a tough sell, but if it has the potential to heal people and it isn't harming anyone, I can see why it would be worthwhile.
