[ The inherent chaos of this world means Cassandra hasn't gotten enough of the research she wants to be doing done- research about her home world, or research about this place. But she's finally found a break to type this up, and she's got some ideas about what she wants to know. So she'll get to the point. ]

I've been looking into the history of this world with a colleague, and there's clearly gaps in the information we have. So I've got two questions, again.

First: apparently there's people who've been here long enough to have encountered Lachesis. If you could say what you remember about her and her abilities, that'd be great for the rest of us. For all we know, we haven't figured out some secret about her because we haven't realized something someone saw was important.

Second, for anyone: does your world have any history of Lachesis or the other Moirai? Hell, what's your mythology like in general? My world's mythology is so similar to this world's that it can't be a coincidence, but it's missing a fundamental part of it, to the point where I'm not even sure how so many of the same stories could exist. If you saw Baal make that impassioned political plea of his a few days ago, you know the basic summary. [ Basically: every 90 years twelve young people become gods. Then they're huge fuck-ups for two years and die. She's very tired of explaining it to everyone. ]

Obviously none of the rest of you seem to have the Recurrence in your worlds, but some of you seem to have the same myths. I want to know why that is.

[ She'd love it if the network could tell her why, and reduce her incredibly high stress level. But that's not going to happen, is it. ]

Sure. Eventually I needed her help, and one thing lead to another...

[ A soft note. ] We dated for a while, too. After that. I got her out of prison to assist us and everything. Every romantic.

[ She is rolling her eyes so hard people can probably feel it from miles away. ]

That doesn't surprise me either. And then I bet you all got away fine and dandy because you went world-saving. Not that much different from here in that way...

Mm, for a little bit.

And then someone stopped an alien invasion while I was infected with a virus, and...

Let's just say shortly after, I deleted my brain. Good thing I had a backup here.

Alright, so why don't you ask a question to get us back on topic, if you don't want to know my clever design? I thought it was a pretty smooth move, honestly.

A smooth move toward what? Your life's story? This isn't that conversation. [ Maybe if he ever needs to be interviewed... ]

We already talked about Lachesis. But you haven't said anything about the mythology of your world. All I know is that Thor is around.

What, you want to know about that? [ There's a scoff. ] I mean, I'm hardly the expert. I'm a science guy, not a magic guy.

But, we do also have Hercules around, so... That's mythology as well. [ Yep. We have a Hercules. That's his mythology knowledge. ] I mean, unless you want to hear my opinions about Loki...

Don't you hang out with him or something? You must know at least the basics. [ Witness: Cass' limited, mostly film-based knowledge of the Avengers. ]

I'm less curious about your opinions and more curious about how mythology even works for you. It's just some ridiculous smorgasbord of a million things smashed together?

Well, I know Thor's father is Odin, and that his brother is Loki...

[ He shrugged. ]

Do you want data on the whole thing? I'm sure I have some of it stashed away, but I regularly data-dump things that aren't all that important.

You got the basics though, it's just... it's not like in the books. Personally, I think it's all a load of bad magic that probably got cast poorly at some point, but... that might just be me.

The basics are enough. At least right now. [ A part of her with some foresight is thinking "don't take on more information." But she's the Norn of the past, not the future. ]

You think casting a shit spell can create all that in your world? It sounds like it'd have to have more to it than one mistake.

One time, someone rewrote all of reality in a tantrum, and then when they changed it back, completely changed an entire population of people with three words.

So yes, I do think it's possible.

[ House of M will always be a thorn in his side. ]

But if you want the basics... Thor is the son of Odin and Frigga. There's his brothers Loki and Balder, there's the Warriors three, Lady Sif... If you ask me about anyone on earth, I'd give you a data dump, but unless you want to know how Loki helped for the Avengers... [ Or the time Loki took him on a date... ]

So basically it's all things I already know, just..Norse-exclusive. With added superheroics. [ It's always exhausting to hear of worlds where the gods are very literal. ] You've never heard anything about the Norns of that world, have you?

I mean, not really? Other than the fact that they exist, but I'm sure Thor would give you much more, if he were here. I mean, I've been to Asgard, but that's... It's just another world, to me.
