[ today kaneki isn't here to babble about feelings and port-outs. He is here to focus on something else and much more important: SPACE. And OTO. But MOSTLY SPACE. ]
I know things have been rough last month, but it's time to address something that we can't ignore. OTO has a missile launch plataform on Phobos, Mars' moon, and we don't know what else they have there or if they are planning on sending further missiles. We know OTO has enough resources and global allies to go far and beyond, to go even where this world still hasn't and as such, we can't ignore their influence and we can't ignore how dangerous they are. Not anymore. [ Kaneki also can't ignore the nagging question if these guys are Vulcannus, but that's a paranoia for another time ]
For a year now I have been trying to get ahead of everything, but I know it's impossible to do it alone. I obviously can't go to space alone. But I know imPorts can make a huge difference when they want to and come together.
I think we should go to Mars. To see what OTO has up there, to stop whatever they are planning. This escalation from OTO is extremely worrisome. Everything they've done before never pointed to them wanting to cause such destruction and death. They didn't mind hurting a dozen people and us, but from that to nuclear incident is something else that we should worry about.
We have reached the Moon in less than 4 months and built a space station there. Reaching Mars isn't impossible. And right now, it's a necessity.
[ooc: Mars plotting, which I've made an OOC post about here. This is the IC invitation to get everyone to work together! Eventually (next month) I'll be posting a log for everyone involved to mingle and get to know each other. Also, to those who don't know about the Mirror Network, you can read about it here. ]

I can survive the vacuum of space! Technology isn't my specialty, but I have vast medical knowledge, if that would be of any assistance! I would love to see space some more.

If you wish to help, I'll gladly accept it. [ even though Itsuki will be surrounded by humans ]

If the voyage takes too long, after all, we might risk everyone on board exPorting before they arrive. Assuming the distance alone doesn't do it, I mean.
audio;
I think with imPort knowledge and powers, plus all the information we got during the tineloop week, we could make it work. And perhaps make it even faster.

Poe Dameron as the pilot because the Porter has granted him specialized abilities, Darth Jadus as he would be vital in keeping the craft protected from vacuum and Hera Syndulla is a very capable mechanic.
[ Yeah Thrawn is all over this. Though he's letting Kaneki do (a much better job at) the legwork. ]

well, except for Poe. Kaneki knows him, ]
There are many imPorts with many great abilities that could be very helpful. If the those you've mentioned wish to join this, I'd certainly be glad.
If you can approach them, I'd be quite thankful. I'm sure they realize that this is happening and needs to be dealt with, eventually. [ regardless of other galaxy matters, kaneki would hope. They are all in the same boat right now, after all ]

[he sounds genuinely delighted, here.]
That moon thing was really impressive! [genuinely.] Do you experience with space stuff?
vid
And no, not really. I never left Earth, I'm no scientist and I know little to nothing about space-travelling.

So the idea would be to do the same.

The nature of my work would require that I participate in the journey, with preparation before launch. What is your timeframe?
Thank you for joining us on this, though. Currently there is no timeframe. We need to build an engine that would allow fast space travelling, and only then we could move from that.
Without it, it'd take us far too long to reach the planet, and we cannot afford it.

I do not have the direct technical expertise needed to create all the necessary systems, but I do know a great deal about the design and operation of such ships.

That's good to know. We need all the help we can get.
