What is your life's greatest regret?

Seems like the kind of question someone might ask after dwelling on their own regrets. That's all.
You didn't really answer my question.

You sure you don't have anything to get off your chest, kid?

[He's older than you, dog breath!]

Because - "what is your life's greatest regret" doesn't sound like a question a happy person would ask.
It worried me.

You were "worried" for me?
Had we even spoken prior to this?

How old are you?

[Also, he doesn't know the answer.]

Okay. Well.
You've lived on this earth long enough to string a handful of words together and make a sentence outta what sticks. You understand concepts like "regret".
You should be able to understand why asking a pretty heavy question without posing any context might give someone the impression that something's wrong.
Or maybe you're just nosy? I might be giving you too much credit.

I am simply curious to know.

That's weird?

People don't just share their regrets. Are people sharing their regrets? Why are people just sharing their regrets?
