[Tina's happily humming to herself as she turns the feed on. A notebook is lying on Maurtia Falls #003's kitchen table, and she zooms in on several labeled drawings of burgers as she slowly flips through the pages:]

Magnus Burnsides - mango salsa with "sideburns" of hot peppers
Wizard Of Mozz - Italian sausage patty, topped with pizza sauce and mozzarella
Merle Highchurch - Pan fried, topped with a few different kinds of greens
Detective Angus - made of Angus beef with a mystery cheese inside
Max - a long bun with two mini patties and fried pickle wheels, to look like a skateboard
Sharpedo - sharp cheddar cheese with "fins" made of nacho cheese Doritos
Pikachu - put pepperoni slices for cheeks, olives for eyes, and mustard for the face on the patty
Exeggutor - honey and egg bun with two fried eggs

[Tina then shuts the notebook and turns the camera on herself, looking quite proud.]

This has been my latest project- coming up with burgers themed after imPorts I know. I want to sell them, maybe at swear-ins, or something like that.

If you could make your own burger, what would you put on it?

Is it? I'm finding I'm more interested in the types of fries that come with a burger more than anything.

Like... maintenance? Yeah, we don't need the same kind of maintenance you do. Or programming or... that kind of thing.

[Tina considers that, then does a quick internet search.]

Huh. I never knew that, but it's supposed to help with digestion. Also, someone made croissants out of charcoal and that sounds kinda gross...

We're not always successful, but he is following his dream, and I think that's great. Plus, it's my family's thing. It's our place.

I don't know. My parents don't expect me to take over the family business, but I haven't thought much about what I'd like to do with my life, either.

Uh-huh! My siblings and mom and I help him run the place.

I'd be happy to make you one sometime.

It's one of the things I like about this place- getting to meet people from different places and befriend them. It's easy to connect with others here.

Probably. We're... kinda poor back home, so Dad had to take what he could without taking too much money out of our college funds.

Oh, fries are pretty versatile, too. They're just potatoes, so there's a lot of toppings that taste good with them. I've put fries on burgers, too.

I'm glad you think so. I do feel... kinda useless, sometimes.

Yeah. ... you get used to a lot of weird things here. I come from a world where nobody had superpowers or anything, so this world is strange to me in some ways.

[Tina nods slowly.]

You never really know what's going to happen in your life. Well, I was pretty sure I'd never hop dimensions, but unexpected things happen all the time.

[like one's crush being a dirtbag. Not like she's fixated on that or anything.]

Absolutely- if he'd like eating one!

[She nods.]

Or spicy mustard. I went to the international market once and they had probably 100 different kinds of mustard.

That must be nice working together with your family like that.

Ah— you would?

It is. My mom is here, but my dad and brother and sister are all back home. It was weird adjusting to them not being around.

Sure! I cook for people all the time. I would've thought I'd like not having restaurant work to do, but... it's what I'm used to, so I'm kinda bored without it.

He'll give it a try! Actually, Exeggutor doesn't eat real food that often. Most of his energy comes from photosynthesizing! [He gives a good pat to the palm leaves at the top of his head.] He can eat berries, pastries, little treats like that, too. But some Grass-type Pokémon eat Bugs and other small Pokémon as part of their diet, too.

--Oh, spicy mustard would be a perfect kick! [Blue holds up his fingers in an OK-sign.] I had something the other day, what did they call it.... 'Chipotle sauce'? I've never heard of it before I came here, but it was tasty!

Oh— yeah, I can definitely get how weird it must be if the rest of your family isn't.

[she smiles at that and nods] Well I'd be happy to try it if you would make one for me sometime.

I do have plenty of friends here, at least. It's nice.

I'm going to see if I can set up a stand at the swear-in this month. If not... hmm, which city do you live in?

Oh, that makes sense! Because he's a plant, and plants don't need food... but I'll gladly make one for him. It'll be a nice treat.

[Tina nods.]

Chipotle sauce is really popular in my world. There's also sriracha. It's a bit too hot for me, but it's supposed to be really spicy and some of our customers put it on everything. Well, except our ice cream.

Yeah, I'm sure that makes it easier too.

That sounds like a great idea— if you set something like that up I'll make sure to come by. I'm currently in Nonah but I go between there and De Chima a lot since I have a few friends in that city and I work at the clinic there too.

Hmm, I live in Maurtia Falls, so we might have to just meet at the swear-in. I'm too young to drive, and my horse is too small for me to ride anywhere.

Oh— yeah or I could just come over to Maurtia Falls too if that's easier.

[Tina sends over a link to the Endeavor Center.]

That would be awesome, actually. Would you be interested in learning how to make them, or just the eating part?

Alright— then it's settled, I'll come over sometime for that and you know, I wouldn't mind learning some time either.

Yea, exactly!

Oh, that I tried once! It's a pretty good kick, I dunno if I could put it on anything. [Blue gives a pained grin.] Just a couple drops on a burrito was enough for me...

[a soft chuckle.]

And that's almost as encouraging as it is foreboding, isn't it? Such things will always be out of our hands to some extent. Yet we'll always have the means to face it.

That's what I must believe, anyway.

That's very kind of them not to pressure you... so you have a chance to pursue other dreams.
