[ Sabrina is sat down on a couch, standard furnishings that come with all the Heropa townhouses. Her government-issues device is floating far enough away from her that it has to be held up by some sort of powers, it would definitely explain the green glow around the edges of the frame. She sits, cross-armed and cross-legged, her file on the couch cushion next to her, and...a yellow humanoid creature making vaguely threatening gestures at a man in deep sleep on the carpet. You might recognize the man as Itsuki, friendly neighborhood flesh-eating abomination.

She turns to face the naughty Hypno, saying nothing, but somehow convincing him to quit being a brat anyway. He stomps off, and she faces the camera again. She's gone over the literature several times, and found the beginner's guide from pouring over the network on her own, but still, it seems like it's customary to introduce yourself. It would be best to be polite while she gains her bearings, she thinks. ]

Hello. My name is Sabrina, I'm from the Kanto region. I was a Pokemon gym leader there, though it appears that holds no relevance or prestige in this world. [ Which bothers her, a lot, given how hard she worked to get that far. Back to square one, in an unfamiliar world, it seems. ]

Who are the leaders in this 'imPort' community? [ She says the word like a woman trying to be more sure of herself than she really is, she hasn't been here long enough to take that on as an identity, no matter how quick the crowds of photographers and fans are to label her as such. ] Officially and otherwise. I would like to meet them, get a better idea of how this works in practice, beyond the time-and-space meddling that's going on.

[Another ImPort from the Pokémon world, then. He's, of course, intrigued immediately. He's yet to see a Pokémon such as the one (he assumes is) being shown.]

I trust that you've already been made aware of the other trainers inhabiting this world.

Have you yet been given the beginner's guide to look over?

You mean the one put together by Ken Kaneki? I've read over it a couple times, now. Do you have anything to add?

The one put together by Kaneki Ken, yes. I'll assume you've already spoken to him, then.

He really is quite thorough in his research. I would point you in the direction of his notes should you be seeking an answer to any general question. Perhaps if you have something specific to ask, I could be of more help.

If you have anyone else to suggest for my initial question, that would be helpful. Otherwise, I'll go over the rest of his notes tonight. There is business relating to my own world to attend to, even here.

The only other person whom I might think to recommend would be a woman by the name of Galla. She is an ImPort ambassador for the city of Nonah and she has been quite active in her leadership as far as I can tell.

I have spoken with her on several occasions and she appears to be trustworthy.

[A non-answer because he doesn't like to admit when he actually finds someone tolerable.]

I could perhaps introduce the two of you should it come down to that.

Kaneki Ken, however, is someone that I know quite well. [They're a little married.]The same offer would stand with him, then.

[He has to stop and think about it, and, once he does, it ends up being a pretty heavy question. It takes him a moment to respond.]

[Another heavy question. D33's not exactly one to admit to "liking" anything, but--]

I have found this world to be far more preferable than my own.

Others from your world do not typically appear to feel the same way.

I come from a position of responsibility that I enjoy. I would rather be there, continuing my work.

I am trying to keep a calm mind and view this as an unexpected challenge. It's just rare that I don't see changes like this coming. It's a little distressing, to be honest.

The transition can be quite jarring, I grant you. I suppose I would be remiss not to inform you that there are quite a few challenges associated with this world, each seemingly more bizarre than the last.

Unfortunately, whether or not you or anyone else returns home is entirely out of you control no matter what your preferences are. That I can tell you with certainty.

So I hear. My world seems strange to some, but even there, clone invasions and nuclear threats are the things of movies.

I see you've done your research, then.

As ridiculous as it might sound, it's all true. You'll come to find it undeniable, I'm sure.

[It shouldn't be too long before the next world-rocking event comes through, anyway. He's so tired.]

I must admit, from what I know of your world, I do find the various Pokémon to be quite fascinating.

Might I ask which of those you have with you at the current moment?

Mine are called Alakazam, Hypno, Espeon, and Woobat. They're psychic types.

[d33tached]

[The word "psychic" sets off a couple of alarms - has he ever met a psychic Pokémon before? He's not entirely sure.]

I might assume that they possess psychic abilities of some sort, then?

Might you elaborate upon those?

[He's not nervous about this at all, no sir.]

It varies, depending on the species. Telekinesis, mind reading, hypnosis, precognition. Woobat's evolution can emit waves that make other Pokemon fall in love with it.

[d33tached]

I see.

[Just kidding. He's definitely nervous. He doesn't want anyone reading his mind - not even a Pokémon.]

Do they do this only on your command? They're used for battling, correct?

[bentspooner]

Not exclusively, but I am their trainer. They listen to me. They aren't malicious, but Hypno thinks it's funny to put people to sleep. So watch for that.

[It sounds like he could have used Hypno a couple of months ago (not that he would have).]

I would request that they refrain from trying to read my mind when they're in my presence.

They won't. Only Alakazam is really able to without a noticable effort, but he knows when it's inappropriate. He's more advanced than humans.
