There's a voice, then, a girl's voice, young and soft, and questioning, but it's not addressing the device, not yet.]

[And then the camera stops moving, and settles on a girl; she's a teenager, the kind of girl who looks like she smiles often, and she does now. She's wearing a very fancy dress, the kind one sees in renaissance fairs. On the queen.]

Yes, is this right, I just speak-oh, this is magic indeed, I think!

[And someone off screen laughs, but Lucy is smiling at the camera, equally amused.]

Hello! I've been told, if I seek to make friends, and find those who may know of my country, I should speak into this queer magic box. I would also like to know how I could find a way back to my home? It's terribly important that I return before the High King think I am kidnapped, for that would be troublesome for many of the surrounding kingdoms. And I would not like it, on the besides, if my royal brother should think that I would be so foolhardy as to allow anyone to kidnap me! I am better than that, I should think, than to allow such a thing.

I would welcome any help, or any who might extend a hand of friendship towards me in this hour, please.

[Her accent reminds Winry a little bit of Dorian's, but she's never asked him about his homeland. And at least she sounds - and looks - more royal than Ling.]

I don't know much about royalty, except the prince I knew back home. But I'd be happy to offer any help I can.

[Since she'd referred to it as magic, Cadel is kind enough to use video, which necessitates that this shows up under his own name and is unassociated with his typical network identity, Stormer.

She's just so forwardly friendly, and polite, that he can't help his curiosity.]

There's no way back home yet that we know of. If there was, I'd have taken it. [His Australian accent is well educated, but Cadel is perfectly unassuming, a somewhat cherubic looking fifteen year old boy.] There shouldn't be any consequences with your High King, though, since time isn't passing at the same rate. It shouldn't be passing at home at all.

This seems odd, in so many ways, but truly reassuring if it is true. I would not like it if the High King were to start a fuss because he had awoken and I had not come home from my customary morning outing.

It doesn't make any sense at all, the time thing, but I'm grateful for it, too. My parents would go ballistic if I were missing.

Getting home's— not exactly something I think any of us can help you with unless you mean the one here. I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear but— it's the truth.

[ He feels like he should ask her about the whole High King thing, but at the same time he's not entirely sure he wants to know. What he settles for doing is just giving Lucy a small smile before he continues. ]

And I think your brother would be too busy worrying to think that you were foolish enough to get kidnapped even if foolishness doesn't really enter that equation in the first place.

[Sigh. She looks a little bit long suffering, but it doesn't last before she's tilting her lips in a fond kind of smile.]

My royal brother has the miraculous ability to think both those at once. It's perplexing and altogether vexing, when he's in a state like that.

It may just be in his brother contract that all brothers have to abide by when they have siblings. And it's made even worse because you guys are royalty and he's the High King and royalty does tend to get kidnapped.
