If you're the cause of someone's death, can you ever be forgiven?

[Asking for a friend. Right. Also "causing someone's death" obviously means murder.]

I'm not sure it's possible. Maybe that's the way it should be. There has be some justice in the universe.

Just stating facts. You take the right path for you - follow your head and your gut - and you shouldn't have many, if any, regrets.

If that were true, why do I become a callous mass murderer serving a man I hate?

I was serving a man who claimed to be able to reverse death.

Was it a true claim?

I thought he lied - since the one I wanted saved died anyway - but I've lived through pieces of the future and now I wonder. Something happened to save my life after I was nearly burned to death.

So he saved your life but not somebody else that you wanted saved? Why follow him then? Were you that grateful for your own continued existence?

No. I wanted to die. I hated living like that; in a suit that I needed for breathing and moving. But without the person I wanted to save, I didn't have anyone else. I was so full of anger and hate that I needed to spend it somehow. He gave me plenty of opportunities.

I wasn't living until Luke found me.
