[Late night thoughtful texts are the best...]

If you're the cause of someone's death, can you ever be forgiven?

[Asking for a friend. Right. Also "causing someone's death" obviously means murder.]

I'm not sure it's possible. Maybe that's the way it should be. There has be some justice in the universe.

..."Becoming a Sith" won't save anyone. And all the power in the universe can't override the will of the Force.

Part of life is accepting that we can't control everything. No matter how much power we have.

Even if you *could* reverse a death, you'd need to think long and hard about whether you *should*. Being able to do something doesn't mean you should just do it without thought. Every action has consequences.

Everyone needs to learn to think before they act. Especially those of us with power.

I'll just bet he didn't.

[ Kanan sincerely doubts even Palpatine can bring people back from the dead. ]

Don't make me quote Master Yoda at you.

I have no doubt he's gone to great lengths to make you believe he can do a lot of things, just to dangle them in front of you and keep you in line.

That's what Sith do. They lie, and they manipulate. The less control you have over your own feelings, the more vulnerable you are to those manipulations.

Sounds like a pack of lies told in order to manipulate your already conflicted feelings.

Given that no one is still around from thousands of years ago, I think it's safe to say no one has managed to discover any secret to immortality.

Losing people we love is hard, and it hurts, a lot. But sometimes accepting it is what we have to do. Death is a thing that happens to everyone sooner or later.

If I murdered a bunch of innocent people in an attempt to save my wife's life, I'd lose her regardless, so no. I wouldn't do *anything*.
