[ A face some might have familiarized themselves with by now, but for most, here's a brand new imPort on the Network. Sabrina doesn't look as visibly exhausted or stressed as she did weeks ago when she first arrived, appearing chipper enough in the feed that one could assume she's settling in well.
(She's not there, no.)
She adjusts the black headband so that she keeps locks of her blond hair tucked behind her ears and away from her eyes and face. In her hand, she has a notebook and a pencil. For anyone paying attention, somewhere in the corner a slick black tail can be spotted. There's definitely a soft mew before Sabrina speaks. ]
I suppose I should get into the habit of using this communicator. It's definitely handy, but... [ Her lips press together. ] Hi, I'm Sabrina. I ported in here a few weeks ago and even though the soldiers gave me some sort of introductory pamphlet I have to say it would have been nice if they had given a warning that Swear-Ins apparently have a tendency to go south.
Honestly, I can't believe those events are still sponsored since most people I've met so far have told me this is normal.
[ She showcases her notepad, setting it down on the empty dinner table of her house. ]
So, because so many imPorts have been here long enough, I'm going to ask what sort of things a newcomer's got to be prepared for. Moon base takeovers? Apocalyptic floods? Zombies? I'd rather not be caught off guard, if I can.
( ooc: please fill this form out, re: spoilers! thank you. )

What about your powers?
no subject
... what about them?

[ He can tell she's holding back, but he's not sure what he should read into that yet. ]
no subject
[ Why is everyone so interested in her abilities? That's like three times now she's been asked. ]
no subject
[ He's inclined to think she'd have more of an advantage if everyone didn't automatically realize she was so worried, after all. Is she withholding the powers on purpose? He's not sure if he'd press, and he'd understand why, but still. ]
What are they?

That- that sounds powerful. It could help you, when something happens again.
Then you did not have those abilities before this. [ Of course, he'd say he didn't have powers before if asked. And he didn't have these powers...so it wouldn't be a complete lie. ]

[ What he's about to say is technically a lie, and his voice sounds a bit awkward- but he supposes he didn't consider the gifts he'd seen to be like superpowers, anyway. ]
It- it is the same, for me. With comic books.
no subject
Did you find it frightening to find out you were no longer human? Or... [ Actually, her questions raises more questions. ] Are we still human?
no subject
Although...he knows plenty of people who thought of him and those he knew back home as more than just human, so. ]
...Many things here are frightening, when you arrive. [ He's saying the obvious though, there, trying to avoid giving too much away. ] And- that is one of them. And what they know of us, from the papers they give.
[ He's trying not to emphasize it, but that's what disturbed him the most; the idea that the government may know things about him he doesn't want others to realize. ]
no subject
No kidding. The government sure seems to know... a lot.
no subject
We do not know how. To know about all of us...it would need power we do not understand.
And we do not know what they will do with the infomation. If they decide to.
no subject
[ She's a stubborn one, this girl. ]
no subject
...How would you do that?
[ He doubts she has a plan. But she seems certain. ]
no subject
[ Make a truth serum?? ]
... I'm not quite sure, but I'll figure out where to start.
no subject
You are not the only one who wants to do that. [ He pauses. ] None of it is simple. Or easy.
no subject
no subject
[ Normally he doesn't want to get involved with this sort of thing too much- but he is inclined to look into what he can, and Sabrina doesn't seem to know much more than him. If he was asked by someone he could be honest with, he'd say Sabrina seemed like a completely normal teenage girl. It wouldn't do any harm to offer his help, would it? ]
Good luck. And- if you need help- I could. Though my own abilities would not be helpful, either.
no subject
That's alright, I appreciate the offer. Who knows, I might need an extra set of eyes or hands.
no subject
[ Well, uh. ]
Not all the time. It- it's complicated.
no subject
no subject
[ He walked right into this one. It still doesn't get easier to explain. ]
It does not matter. I understand what you said.
no subject
As in a medical condition?
no subject
A medical condition that- that changed, when I received powers.
[ Easier than saying "my eyes grew back." ]
