[ The feed opens on Cassandra’s apartment- or what soon will not be Cassandra’s apartment, as one may be able to tell from the fact that everything’s in boxes behind her. Cassandra is on screen, certainly not looking or sounding as terrible as the last time she posted on the network, but still a good bit exhausted. And a bit...frustrated? It could be worse. There's a portion of the screen behind her that's hard to focus on, as if it doesn't want to be looked at. ]

Okay. So- for those of you who are actually interested in figuring shit out around this place, I’ve got a request. Or- we do, apparently. [ Suddenly, that portion of the screen is just fine being looked at, where the tall figure and gazelle skull mask of the Psychopomp looms behind Cassandra. ]

We’re looking for magic users. Anyone with... [ She taps her chin. Clearly she’s trying to find the right words, for a number of reasons. ] Offensive abilities. Or some sort of psychic powers. [ Psychopomp raises one finger, interjecting from behind her: ] Not offensive, as such. The abilities we seek have to do with the mind, particularly in the binding together of them.

God. Fine, yeah, what they said. It’s all abstract anyway, fucking...supernatural bullshit. [ She waves a hand around, as if that’ll assist her point. ] What we’re saying is we need some help on a project. A big one. So if you can do that- and if you’re willing to do it with pretty fucking high stakes- let us know.

Be warned, when we speak of high stakes, we mean the highest of stakes in this land. We mean to mitigate them, with thy help, and perhaps they will be reduced for thee enough to be as naught, but this task is not for such that cannot steel themselves to such a task. If thou art serious, we appreciate thy inquiry.

The Porter city that popped up overnight?

The city that none were aware of until it was connected to the other Porters. It is suspected among the Stolen to have sprung suddenly into existence, but the Stolen tend to have a very narrow perspective on the world.

Thus, the survey, to compare what we know for certain to what public knowledge may conflict with it.

Wait... do you think this new city and the Fates are connected somehow? Or something entirely?

I haven't the faintest. I am not yet ready to declare its existence entirely new, as I spend little time in Nevada and expect the same of other Stolen.

Nonetheless, the question hath been asked. It is only right to seek an answer.

Has anyone checked Jeopardy's historical archives yet?

Given the possibilities we are investigating, any information about Jeopardy from within Jeopardy, or perhaps even without, will be immaterial.

What dost thou expect we could learn from historical archives that may only have come into existence recently due to the alteration of reality? Dost thou expect our foes would have documented their participation in such an act?

Thou art getting ahead of the question. [ Why does everyone keep doing that? They just want to confirm some simple facts, and everyone keeps getting distracted with all number of possibilities that they can't be sure of until those facts are first confirmed. ] Our current focus is the survey, to evaluate what precisely the phenomena we face is. We can determine what questions that raises afterward, but I would prefer us not making any assumptions outside of what we can know for sure until then.

There's always a possibility there's an error somewhere. Some kind of slip-up or clue.

Okay, so this survey... are the questions available somewhere to answer or is it still in the making?

Yes, but in order to determine that, we must first know the precise nature of the contradiction. There is little point seeking when we know not what we are dealing with.

There is room to improvise with the questions, but they are of a very basic nature. Nothing to overcomplicate, nor to directly address any suspicions thou mightst hold. We seek only to determine public knowledge, and how it may conflict with the perceptions of the Stolen, but this should not be mentioned to any thou dost survey.

Seek people on the street, ask your questions, write down their answers, thank them for their time, move on to another area to do the same. Perhaps a dozen in one of the Porter cities, the one in which thou residest will suffice. I will send you the questions I have already collected.
