Good evening, my name is Walter Strickler. I'm a new arrival here, and I thought it best that I introduce myself. More than that, actually, I was hoping to ask a question.

I am in the midst of familiarizing myself with the history of this world, and how it differs from my own... Most of the discrepancies have been fairly minute, others less so, but it lead me to wondering about other worlds. Your worlds, and the histories theirin; if you care to share them. I suppose I'm just curious, is it common for most of us... "imports" to be from worlds that are similar, or ones that are vastly different? Is there anything here that has struck you as odd?

[There's a small pause, an aside glance, as he arranges the wording of his next question carefully.]

And, are 'powers' common where you're from? Whether it be mutations, magic, or anything of the sort. Are these things familiar to you?

Please do forgive me if I take a moment to understand anything you have to share. I must admit, I am still attempting to process all of this... But I would not want to have anyone feeling put-out for my misgivings. Thank you. I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Ah, thank you for the clarification. I would have assumed somewhere in the ocean, otherwise..

[There is a lot to learn today, and he's open to just about anything being possible.]

What was it like there? I admit that my mental image of it is rather barren.

Pretty close, really. Just imagine a lot of floating rock and the hulls of long-dead ships. You might find settlements built here and there but that's about it.

Yes, that’s rather easy to picture. Have you had any difficulties adjusting to life here, then?

I suppose. My Earth, which has become home, only has a single city left standing. So the fact that there are so many more people and so much more of everything has been jarring, to say the least.

I can only imagine.

[WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE POST-APOCALYPSES... No, no, it's fine. He doesn't need to worry about that right now.]

I hope that it hasn't been too difficult for you to find your way around this Earth. The good news is that so many of our fellow imPorts will be quick to share knowledge, if you ever need it. Myself included.

It hasn't been difficult just different. The people here are also not used to those that look as I do just walking around.

[She scowls. She swears if she gets one more person asking to take a photo...]

You aren't the only one I've met who's had that particular problem. You'd think that these people would know better...

You'd think. Even had a few ask how my eyes glow. Hell if I know the answer to that one.

I understand wanting to know more- for goodness sakes, I've been asking countless questions tonight. But to ask things like that, and in that way... It’s rude, plain and simple.

I'm sorry you have to tolerate that sort of behavior.

Questions are understandable, sometimes even welcomed, but then someone asks why I'm blue. [She rolls her eyes.]

Hopefully, it will lessen over time.

It should. Perhaps you could speed up the process by making a video to the public, and tell them to keep their questions to themselves? I've seen someone do so already, but they were a bit more... aggressive about it, than I think you would be.

If you mean a post to the network, it's my understanding that the locals don't have access to it so it wouldn't do much good as they're not the problem.

Ah, no, I meant to make a statement to the world at large. The internet is a network that is available to the native inhabitants of this world, so you could use that if you needed to.

Oh, right. That might be worth trying if it continues to be a problem.
