[ video comes up, and there is Kaneki and Cass looking at the camera. He is sitting down with a serious expression and nods at Cass to let her know he will start ] It has been a week since the Death Island Swear-in, and we actually have a lot of things to discuss. [ so… many… ]

During the Swear-In, myself and a team of imPorts met with an OTO representative from a less extreme branch of their organization. We talked and they said all they want to do is to send us home: this branch has no plans on killing us, but they also don’t really care about Atropos. All they want is for us to go home. So they suggested us working together on just that: they want us to establish a spy to report back on government and imPort projects regarding the imPort multiverses and multidimensional advances. In return, they’d do the same and tell us about their own interdimensional travel efforts. [ by kaneki’s expression, he is not Impressed. ]

We decided we would ask the imPort community what you want to do. Ideas, options, opinions. I do want to remind you, however, we never established direct contact with the OTO before, this is the first time. [ so it’s good to think things through.

After, Kaneki will look back at Cass because this trip is not over yet. ]

Yeah, I’m here too. Again. [ She’s starting to realize this is a pattern, at this point. ] So, if you’re wondering about the actual permanent-death-inducing laser cannon that caused what we were all memorializing over there- it’s not there anymore. And it’s probably in the hands of OTO. Because we can’t have a single fucking moment of peace around here, obviously.

[ After taking a moment to rub her forehead: ] Specifically, it’s owned by a company called Agile Systems Solutions that OTO owns most of the stock of- well, companies associated with them do. Let’s just say it’s OTO and get it over with. Kaneki’s thinking we should pool our combined riches and harness the power of late capitalism to worm our way in, so if you’re an imPort that actually has money, feel free to pitch in, I guess. Or whatever you want to do. Point is, something that can off any of us for good is in the hands of a bunch of mass murderers who want to murder us specifically, which makes me think we probably shouldn’t trust them with any spies...but obviously we’re all leaving that to you people. Try not to lose your shit.

That plan from- uh- Psychopomp and I last month is still on the table, by the way. [ She sighs. ] Like I said. Try to actually think before you pitch a fit, here? We kind of have a potential apocalypse to prevent.

Whoa, calm down! Yeah, I haven't been here long, so maybe I don't know every little detail of what happened in the last five hundred years yet!

So far, I've been told that they tried to blow something up, but failed? And that they want to find a way out of this dump.

[ Cassandra rolls her eyes. Okay. ]

That's putting it lightly. Last year we all got stuck in a literal time loop trying to stop them from nuking a major city. And then they killed a few hundred people in De Chima trying to transport us to...anywhere that isn't here, apparently?

The point is, they're a bunch of murderous megalomaniacs that think they can get off on destroying the lives of anyone as long as it gets us out of here. And they don't even know if that'll solve all our problems.

[ Catra first stares in disbelief and then... snickers. ]

Yeah, uh, bad plan!

[ Look she may be a high-ranking officer in an evil, genocidal army, but she does appreciate a sound strategy, and that is not it. ]

[ What's up with this girl? She seems a little overconfident for someone who knows nothing. ]

[ It's... weird, having to pretend she cares about any of that, here, but she's just Catra, she has no army behind her, and she would very much mind being imprisoned or killed. ]

Sure. Plenty of people feel like that. And then there's a lot of people who need to stay here, and we're not risking them, either.

[ Quite the personal situation, for her- she doesn't feel that way, but she wants better for many of those she cares for. ]

Well, if they wanna stay, they can do that, for all I care! But I have better things to do than waste my time here.

Yes, you do. Including helping us figure out how to get the people who want to leave out and the people who want to stay in. Sounds like something you'd care about, yeah?

[ Cassandra rolls her eyes and rubs her forehead. There. Finally some way to interact with this girl. ]

Is that basic stuff about OTO all you know so far? What do you want to know?

What have you done so far to fight them?

Literally went to Mars to blow up their base, for one. Other than that? A lot of investigation, trying to prevent things from getting worse. Some of us around here know we can’t do nothing.

[ Her tone makes it clear she thinks some people don’t do anything. ]

Is this your way of asking what you can do?

Hey- if that's what you're going for, then I could say you're being combative. I'm trying to actually help you, you know.

[ She shrugs. ]

So what would you have me do?

I'd have you figure out how you can help and do that. What exactly are your powers?

[ Catra ponders this for a moment. She's not about to become a hero anytime soon, but stopping an organization that wants to eradicate her, among others, sound pretty sensible. Also, it'd give her something to do.

She hold up her hand and demonstratively unsheathes her claws. ]

I'm a cat person.

Ha ha.

[ She's assuming Catra is making a joke about cat people and dog people- people having preferences. Whether Catra's actually trying to do that or not. ]

But nothing else? You didn't get anything when you ported in?

Nope, not as far as I've noticed.
