001 ⌘ VOICE;
[ River's voice is slightly wandering, but thoughtful. ]
A hero is an imperfect idea, full of good intentions and bad decisions, too many questions and not enough answers. Good people, bad people, it only depends on what side you're on. But I can tell which is which, I've always been able to. There are people here that aren't as good as they say they are, but also those who aren't as bad at they think.
No one really knows who they are. No one wants to.
[ There's a pause. ]
This place seems good for finding out who they are. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Re: voice
Yes, I'm from space. Everyone's from space anymore, even those that're born planetside. There's no more Earth-That-Was.
How will you know if they're the right people?
voice
Time. Nothing but time and experience together to get to know them and find out if they're trustworthy. Dependable.
[ A beat, a pause, where he's not sure whether to broach this, but he has to ask-- ]
What happened to Earth-That-Was?
