A hero is an imperfect idea, full of good intentions and bad decisions, too many questions and not enough answers. Good people, bad people, it only depends on what side you're on. But I can tell which is which, I've always been able to. There are people here that aren't as good as they say they are, but also those who aren't as bad at they think.

No one really knows who they are. No one wants to.

Earth is good for a few things, but I'm not always totally sure what they are. Getting really mixed up ideas of good and evil is definitely one of them, though.

They said this was a place for the heroes, but their selection process is unilaterally flawed. Criteria for it is impossible to quantify.

[ Nightfall decides after some time to reply to this. Her voice is very soft, an edge of reassurance to it by design. Though, it is questionable how reassuring a literal child's voice can be to each individual. ]

Hello. I come from a world where I am a hero in training, and I think you bring up some very good points. I think that most heroes are good, even if they think more highly of themselves than appropriate, but I also think that many who think poorly of themselves are not nearly so bad as they think.

I think this may be a thing among even the general populace. A lot of people seem to think themselves worse than they are.

[ It is, perhaps, completely lost on her that any of this might apply to herself. The idea that she could be better than she thinks she is seems quite unlikely to her. Though, maybe she wouldn't be surprised to think she's worse than she assumes. ]
