Soooooooooooooooo. I feel like a lot of times when we post on here it's something serious, or someone left, someone arrived, you get it. And honestly, I've got no problem with that cause it makes sense! But how about some more icebreakers?

FanPort got me thinking cause obviously all the locals are crazy about superheroes, and even non-superheroes, but what about you guys? If you come from a world with superheroes like me, you've got a pretty good head start on everyone else. Still, everyone's probably got some kind of hero, right?

And now I'm sure you're wondering, "Stephanie, who is your favorite superhero?"

Well, drumroll please...

[The drumroll is so she can think of a good answer. It's not working.]

Uh. I had a poster of Superboy when I was in high school. Wait, is Superboy here? I just realized how weird this could potentially get...

My galaxy’s version of superheroes I would think would be the Jedi. As I’m one of them, I naturally looked up to quite a few when I was a youngling. Master Yoda being among the highest among them.

My own master, Qui-Gon Jinn, would be among them as well, even if I did spend several years as an apprentice resenting him.

Not so much with the Jedi.

There is a great deal of respect between Padawan and Master. ... Usually. Ideally.

[He is thinking about Anakin now.]

There is a bond between master and apprentice, and not just in the figurative sense. They are supposed to think and act as one. And I was... a rather rebellious child and a late bloomer. There was a point where it seemed I might be reassigned, but we eventually clicked.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's expected to some degree. But well, sometimes padawans and masters are not compatible.

Oh, certainly not. I had been with Qui-Gon for... 3 or 4 years by that point.

I was bitter and resented him because I didn't think he was teaching me the way I thought I needed to be taught. While my friends were out having adventures with their masters, I was thrust into the library often and was only being taught basic lightsaber techniques. I was frustrated.

It wasn't until a certain mission that I finally started to apply what he was trying to teach me, and came to realize how important those lessons were. He was trying to make me into the best Jedi he thought I could be. I just didn't see it until then.
