Or at least lets him use it to channel his best impression of a Definitely Normal Team, No Superheroics Here Honest. He mostly just looks awkward and nerdy, which is … accurate anyway, so let’s go with that. ]

Hey - um, so I’m Peter. Peter Parker. And I just got here, and -

[ He’s read through what’s left of his files, he’s read through the last couple weeks of posts just to get a feel for things. After that, he has one incredibly important question: ]

Did I seriously just barely miss out on a Death Star being here? For real? That’s not fair. Please tell me it’s coming back at some point.

[ That’s probably an objectively incorrect thing to want, but. Look. That would have made his entire life. He could die happy. For the second time. Well, the second time dying, first time dying happy. Anyway, he turns reluctantly to the list of actual serious questions he made. Not enough time to ask them all (unless he just takes in a breath and rapid fire asks all of them in thirty seconds) so he’ll just pick one for now. ]

So, school. How is that working out for people who still hafta go? And can you like … argue with it at all? Because I’m all for finishing high school, but this is my third time going into sophomore year and I’m starting to feel like that movie with the Ghostbuster being depressed in Pennsylvania.

Are such descriptive middle names not common on Earth? I will admit, middle names in general are more of an Earth custom than anything I'm used to.

Nah, I’m messing with you. My actual middle name is Benjamin - same as my uncle’s first name.

Right, yeah. Pretty normal one for the US. Traditional, I guess. My family’s pretty Jewish, so they stuck with the classics.

I'm sorry, I don't know that term. Is that a country of origin, or...?

Uh ... that’s a good question. Depends on who you ask. It’s more of a culture and family history thing for me, but it’s a religion too. And I celebrate different holidays from most people in the US.

Well, we got a lot of different people and cultures and religions and stuff. Everybody does it a little differently.

Yes, another thing I'm not used to. Where I come from, most planets are fairly uniform. There are differences between the alien races, but mostly all humans believe and celebrate similar days.

What you don't know is the culture and history of my galaxy. It isn't the same as Earth. Things are very different, and humanity is more homogenous, aside from a few planetary differences here and there.

Yeah, there’s no way that’s natural, dude. At best you’ve got people who say they’re into the standard holidays but still end up at the same Chinese place for Christmas every year.

As I said, there were cultural differences. On my home planet of Ralltiir, for example... It is a financial hub for the Core Worlds, so there are several bank holidays that the planet observes, in addition to the galaxy-wide holidays such as Empire Day. I simply meant that each planet is more uniform than Earth seems to be, divided as it is into different regions and cultures. Ralltiiri people are one way, Corellians are another way, et cetera.

It still seems a little weird to me, but I guess if you’re an interstellar community, then your regions are gonna be bigger.

Think about it. On Earth there are sections of the world with desert, sections with forests, sections with tundra. In our galaxy, these things take up entire planets. There is no part of Hoth that is warm, and no part of Tatooine that is cold.
