Good afternoon, imPorts. Most of you know me, but for those of you who do not, my name is Yuri Petrov.

[The man onscreen bows his head politely before straightening in his office chair. But it's a weekend, why is he working, you ask? Yuri knows not the meaning of the word weekend! He is a veritable workaholic, unabashedly so.]

I would like to take a moment today to speak with you about a matter that is very close to us all, if only because it pertains to a position we all find ourselves in. I am referring less to the point of our being in this world, and more to the fact that we have been given the opportunity to turn our unfortunate circumstances into something full of promise.

How can we do that, you ask? Let me explain.

[Yuri smiles, though the expression cannot be said to interrupt the rest of his professional countenance; it is very...impersonal.]

It is my job as a Registered Heroics Advertising Manager to assist you in accomplishing feats that will benefit you, your fellows, and the native citizens of this country and the rest of this world. Of course, my services are almost entirely exclusive to Registered Heroes, but I am not unable to help those of you who may be considering future Registration, either.

[A loophole he has conveniently worked in there so that he may be of assistance to those who may not necessarily want to Register, as he is not actually an advocate for Registration...despite being Registered, himself.]

For example, if you are lacking in finances to support yourself, I can help you find sponsors who will support your work in exchange for some advertising on your part. If you are having difficulty adapting to your surroundings or you find yourself requiring some guidance due to language or technological barriers, I can offer my services as someone who can be a confidant or a tutor. Furthermore, this line of work attracts conflict and misunderstanding; should you find yourself in the midst of a legal conundrum, I would be more than happy to advise you. Which isn't to say that you are limited to what aid I can offer, because you are not. In many cases, particularly those I have already mentioned, if you require special guidance, I can put you in contact with professionals who will respect your confidentiality and do their utmost to provide for you the appropriate care and relief.

[He gestures, palms open and up, as if to the network.]

I'd make a terrible politician, [ said with a small laugh. ] But the compliment is appreciated.

I stand by my assessment.

[Yuri loathes politicians. They lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, and they break the law. It wasn't a compliment, not in the least. Of course, Dorian hasn't any way of knowing that.]

In any case, have you had any visitors there yet? I would like to know what kind of privacy we'll be offered to discuss things.

I've had a couple of visitors. A good friend dropped off some supplies for me. [ or at least, a friend who because she dropped off supplies has been upgraded to 'good friend' in Dorian's mind. ]

As for privacy...not that much, I'm afraid. I've got the communicator, but if we meet face to face, there'll be guards and security cameras to deal with.

Will we have a separate room to converse in, or will we be speaking through glass or bars, that is what I want to know.

[He hasn't been to where they hold criminals here, not yet. There hasn't been any reason for him to visit...which makes Dorian's getting arrested and Yuri's loose affiliation with him rather convenient, come to think of it.]

As well, given that you appear to be allowed supplies, is there anything you would like me to bring you?

I think they've got both options. But, seeing as I've been on such good behavior, so I think I can swing us a separate room.

[ such good behavior as well as flattering a few of the guards ]

As for your question, books. Books are always good.

I will do what I can from my end to ensure us one, also. We will still be closely watched, that goes without saying, but it will be more comfortable to talk when we are not elbow-to-elbow with other visitors and inmates.

[A momentary pause, and then with a note of humor...]

Self help?

[ Dorian laughs, then follows it up with an obviously over-the-top noise of disgust. ]

I'd prefer something a bit more fictional.

I haven't read that one in ages. Yes please!

Consider it done. And are there any favorites of yours you haven't access to?

I'm a fan of poetry. Shelley, Keats, Wordsworth, that ilk. Anything along those lines would be just as wonderful.

Or, if we're going for large texts that I'll take a while to finish, I haven't read any Hugo in ages.

How long are you being held for?

If I'm not mistaken, three months or until I make bail.

And what was your bail set at?

[Not that he'll pay it. He's just curious. If it isn't too high, it might not be impossible to raise funds...though, of course, there is the matter of Dorian's reputation to contend with.]

It's [ insert made-up number that's fairly high cause he robbed a fucking bank, but not entirely unreasonable. ]

Needless to say, you expect to be where you are for a little while, then. In that case, I will bring what books I can.

[Quietly, Yuri adds...]

A shame this interrupts our plans. Now, instead of a few weeks, you have to wait a few months.

[ a huffy annoyed little siiiiigh. ]

I suppose if I have to wait, then I must.

Well, there is another option. I cannot post the entirety of your bail on my own, but with the assistance of others, it may be possible to get you out of jail sooner rather than later. I had hoped to propose the notion when I came to visit, but...now is as good a time as any, I suppose.
