A really horrible person who believes in really horrible things.

Okay, crash course: on my Earth -and it looks like a few others too- there was this guy back in Germany called Adolf Hitler, and he convinced a whole bunch of people that there was a superior race and that anybody in the country who wasn't part of it was a waste of space and a freeloader and just generally garbage to be disposed of. It was really awful. He influenced a lot of people to kill millions of people in horrible ways, and he tried to invade the rest of Europe- the continent, and it was just seriously jacked up. Really bad. His soldiers were called Nazis.

And pretty much everyone called him just Fuhrer or Hitler, but the only people who called him Fuhrer were like, Germans. Specifically, his army. So yeah, that's why.

Ah. Right. Yeah, definitely not the Fuhrer we have back home.

[Sure, Amestris has been involved in war, invasions but that has been through centuries of careful planning since the country's initial creation. Not like that.]

Sure. I mean I've kind of looked into history but even I can only get so far when a lot of this is new and this isn't even the right country or world or timeline from home. Bound to be some things I haven't gotten to reading and some might not even necessarily be applicable here specifically with stuff from so many other worlds too.

Dude, it's cool. I'm not about to go out and read every piece of history of some world I just popped into. There's gonna be a lot of that in a place like this.

Oh, yeah. There's a lot. Even with school going over some stuff I still feel like there's a lot I don't get.

Wish I could help more, dude. This world's history gets funky around the Cold War era. Also; history's my worst subject.

Computers are still something I'm figuring. But I'll keep this wiki thing in mind.

When it comes paper writing time, Wikipedia is your best friend. Bar none. They probably won't take it for a source but it's so useful, especially for history. It's saved my butt so many times.

I didn't have that back home. I just....read a lot. But then, I guess school was something we put on the backburner after everything started back home. This is my first time back studying like this in years.

I bet it's been a thrill getting back into it, right? Staring at books for hours and trying to figure out how to give a crap about what treaties were signed where.

I mean, some of it's okay. I'm a science guy myself so I like doing labs and stuff, but history and english? Dissecting a poem to try and figure out what the author meant? Pfft. Forget that, right?

I know. But it's kind of interesting. Different history to back home and all. Which both helps keep the interest and makes it harder to remember in comparison, yeah.

Ah, just....mucking about in class or correcting 'em. Most of this is stuff I already knew anyway from studying alchemy back home.

What, they won't let you test out into something more advanced?

I don't know. It's probably hard for them to figure what we already know from back home. They might already have me in the advanced class or something for all I can tell given I've not been in school for a while until coming here. They did shift my class after the first week for the science topics besides physics.

Oh. Yeah, then they probably already moved you to advanced stuff.

Probably. Not like I'd be sure either way when it's been years since I was in class to know what level the average kid my age should be doing. But it isn't like I have long to go now anyway. Keeps me busy outside of work and the library anyway, which I guess Winry's glad for.

I just don't tell her about the detentions. What she doesn't know won't hurt her and she's not my mother.
