When someone drinks too much, what do people do to help them feel better? What's the cure? Sometimes, we'd cook this fish back home that helped out or our elder back home used to do a bunch of mixing with herbs and stuff, but I doubt that's the case here.

Also, this isn't as important, but. What's a Catty Purry?

Twenty. Growth spurt finally kicked in a few years ago. How about you? I'm guessing ... fifteen or so?

Fifteen in a couple weeks, yeah. Man, I hope I don't have to wait as long as you did to get tall.

Don't worry. It'll hit you. I was even shorter than you at that age. Shortest and skinniest of all the Vikings. You can imagine that reputation.

... Let me guess. You got bullied a lot? Picked last for Viking sports?

[flightsuit]

Ha! [LAUGHING BECAUSE IT'S THE TRUTH.]

They actually sent me to the forge cause they didn't think I'd be useful at all with fighting. Which was true, and it actually taught me a lot in actually being able to make things that were useful, so it kinda turned alright in the end.

That's ... actually pretty cool. Really cool. I'm kind of jealous.

What are you jealous? Whatever you did, you got to look about all that amazing technology stuff you do. It's fantastic.

... Okay yeah, it's completely fantastic. Not even gonna lie. But school also reeeeally sucked.

What was wrong with school? If it sucked for me, it's cause I had to do the teaching and the crowd I had to teach aren't the easiest to deal with sometimes. Wild troublemakers. And not the good kind.

Gee, Vikings being troublemakers. I never would have guessed.

Hey, there are some very well behaved kinds. Some. At least I didn't run around tipping yaks like these did.

Literal yaks? Where do you keep 'em, on your Viking boats?

[flightsuit]

Why would we keep them on the boats? We raised them on the land for their milk obviously.

[microbrobotics]

... I guess you can't have a forge on a boat either. Huh. You guys have a village then?

[flightsuit]

Of course we have a village. Berk. It's pretty hard to find since it's on a pretty isolated island, but it's there.

Did you think we lived on boats?

[microbrobotics]

Honestly? I don't know a whole lot about Vikings to begin with. I didn't pay much attention in class.

[flightsuit]

Well, we do have boats. But we hardly even use them lately. Travel's a lot easier with dragons anyway.

And I know it's nothing compared to everything you guys got now, but I can always fill you in on the real details of Vikings life if you ever wanna know.

Dragons aren't a thing, so you're probably not gonna be accurate to the versions in my world.

So it's a good thing I don't care about accuracy. You have to tell me everything about what it's like living with dragons.

[flightsuit]

Well, who says the versions you hear about in your world are accurate? A thousand year difference, there's gonna be details that are left out and lost.

[microbrobotics]

[ He laughs. ]

Well yeah, but - then all the dragons would have to be gone within like five hundred years, and that's just too sad.

[flightsuit]

[That is sad, causing Hiccup to tense up a bit.]

Maybe they're not really gone. Just kind of hidden. There's been plenty of undiscovered species on my end, so it's entirely possible they just haven't been seen.

[microbrobotics]

I don't think there's much left on Earth to be discovered. Unless they're secretly at the bottom of the ocean.

[flightsuit]

I really doubt you could have completely seen everything there is to see already. Have you all really managed to reach every edge of the Earth already?

[microbrobotics]

Better than that. We've been to the moon.
