003 ♣ VIDEO ♠ Change (Age Plot)
[A shirtless boy of about twelve appears on the screen, eyes bright gold, lips puckered in a smirk below a light amalgam of freckles dotting his nose and cheeks. Familiar to some but it might become a lot more apparent who it is once he speaks.]
How long do you think I would be able to manage dealing in my casino like this, hm~? [A chuckle, the boy's tone sly- sultry. A tone a twelve year old really shouldn't have, Hisoka'a voice definitely higher than his usual but pulling in the same seductively coy way it always has.]
[He glances down, inspecting his hands unseen off the video. While this is certainly strange and he'd like to know why the hell he's this age again, it is a bit entertaining.]
Mmm... Will flirting at this age become cute now? What do you think I could get away with saying? I certainly have to continue to please my players.
[Another pause before he switches to text.]

[Actually one hour and twenty minutes later, he'll meet him not far from where the Porter to this city is located. Late, of course. And wearing an oversized dress/shirt?? It goes just above his knees. The shoes were trickier, actually, he didn't even wear them. Bare foot and proud, he wanders over to him, looking up to him under white hair. Shorter now, heck of a lot shorter, but smiling as brightly as ever. At least he doesn't look as... predatory like this?]

If he was waiting long at the De Chima base for Hisoka to arrive, he doesn't seem to show it, or at least doesn't seem to mind.]

[He holds out his bag with a playful grin.]
Brought you something else to wear for now 'cause I don't feel like explaining to people why you're dressed so oddly. There's a bathroom 'round here, right? You can change and then we can go.
[A pause and then...]
...I didn't even think about you not having shoes. We might need to make that the first stop.

[A little big but they don't fall off which is good. He just tugs the sweatshirt on over the dress then and looks down to it, laughing.]
This is cute. [Smirks up to him.] Mm? [Looks down to his feet, lifting the toes of one.] Ah yes, I suppose. Not many places allow entry without shoes. It's a shame, I kind of enjoy the freedom of it. [And yet he wears heels most days.]

Too late, Hisoka's already a step ahead. Meaning Josuke can only plant himself firmly between any onlookers and Hisoka while mustering up his best WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT stare.

Ah...? [He looks back over his shoulder and down at Hisoka in the sweater. And the hanging shirt. And is about THIS close to saying something smart about how he'd worried earlier about how he'd look, but decides to keep it to himself. At least Hisoka is more presentable now.] That's right! So...shoe store first.
[WAIT HOLD UP.
Closer look at Hisoka.
And that...that shirt he was wearing. Remembering how...there weren't any pockets in it. THERE WEREN'T ANY POCKETS!!!!]

[He sees the realization on Josuke's face and he can't help but grin wide, lifting his hands up to show 9 fingers, putting another down to make eight.]

[Josuke stares at those nine fingers as one drops and they become eight. And then he gets it and groans a little.
All these damn favors...by the end of them, at least at the rate Hisoka's going, he'll be broke!]
...Alright, fine. Fine! But just one outfit and some shoes. Let's go.
[Shoves his hands into his pockets and takes the lead, a little eager to get away from staring soldiers and to get this over with.]

Mmn.. [Holds a finger up to his lips.] A promised someone else I'd pick something up for them too, that's okay right? He's also stuck like this! You don't want to him to be cross with me, right?

[He turns back around and looks down at Hisoka. Not impressed here.]
I guess that depends on if you'd rather I was upset with you! I don't mind helping out, but I'm not made of money!

Well, I don't owe your friend any favors, so buyin' him something regardless of price is gonna cost you another favor. Guess that means you're down to seven now.

[And he will! Josuke's not really keen on people taking advantage of others. Favors are one thing, but they'd bet those in a good-natured game. Using them to make a friend miserable is just...

[He's not stopping this time until they're outside!]

How lucky for you though, nothing seems amiss. [Smiles, his gaze looking up Josuke slowly.]
I wonder if there's a reason for who was affected, and who was not?

[No one's been hurt by it so far, not that he knows, so it isn't like the alterations are all that problematic...but even so, it makes Josuke uncomfortable. He really is grateful to be unaffected by the changes that have taken countless others, though he appreciates less how much money it'll cost him trying to help out his friends.
Once they're away from the Porter base, Josuke pulls his communicator from his pocket to doublecheck one of the addresses Hisoka gave him earlier. He picks one and takes a right, heading in the direction of what is arguably the nearest mall given their present location.]
...how're your feet, by the way? It's warmer in Heropa than it is here.

Mmm... they kiiinda hurt. [Said with a fake sigh, walking a little lighter.]
[Hisoka lifts his arms.]

[He almost shudders just thinking about it! Sure, there are perks, but Hisoka's got the right of it. It's a very...violating feeling.
He sighs...and then stops long enough to crouch down a little.]
Alright, I mean...I could patch up sore feet, but I can't repair the damaged eardrums I'm sure to get if I just let you wander around like that. Hop on.
[Piggyback time! ...just this once.]

Ah-? [Stops abruptly, arms going down again as he stares. Honestly he didn't... expect that at all, for Josuke to so willingly give into the idea of carrying him. He visibly pauses, staring.]
...How? [A blink. Hope on makes a lot more sense to someone who 's actually been given a piggy back before.]

You know...just hop on.
[How does he even explain this? Sigh. Better not to, then. To just stand back up and take a step toward Hisoka, to grab his arm and, leaning down, carefully hoist him up on his back, legs situated on either side of his waist, arms over his shoulders. And once he's sure Hisoka's not gonna squirm and fall back? Josuke will support him with his arms wrapped around Hisoka's legs.]
Just like this! Seriously...you never got carried before? What the hell kinda childhood did you have!

[Lifted up a different way and instead of getting on some defensive Hisoka just goes a little slack, letting Josuke pick him up with ease. Definitely lighter, so not a problem at all. Infact really light. He was a small kid.]
[It's a weird sensation, almost laughs with his front so close to Josuke's back, rubbing up against him. But he won't ruin it, being up here's actually rather fun and he wrangles his arms around the other boy's neck.]
Quite a suffocating one. Perhaps my parents loved me so much that carrying me just sounded too dangerous!
