With the understanding that this is a network of some type, I'm looking to get into contact with a Mr. Qubit. He assisted myself and my colleague on arrival, and circumstances at the time weren't conducive to exchanging contact information.

In addition, if there's any available information on technical or research institutions located around the occupied cities, any direction would be appreciated.

Finally, if any other members of the PPDC exist here, I'd request them to get in contact immediately.

Yes, it's something of a trying experience. Fortunately, I suppose, the concept of alternate dimensions isn't entirely foreign to us, even if we've never experienced it until recently.

Is it something you've adjusted to?

Sort of? I've been here over a year and I've seen a lot of strange things back home.
Plus some of us were in another dimension before we found ourselves here.
Not my area of expertise, though getting the experience anyway.

So some experience, then. I imagine it helps. The world was in a panic when the first rift opened- I can only imagine there have been similar reactions.

The rift?
I've seen a couple of other worlds briefly before. They weren't pleasant, especially when one had dinosaurs and I nearly got eaten by one.

Yes, it connected our world to a foreign universe. For ten years, it was my job to find a way to close it.

My limited experience has shown open portals between worlds tend to cause more panic and chaos than anything else.
How bad was it?

We did manage to close it, in the end.

We discovered how to get through the Breach, and detonated the equivalent of a nuclear reactor within.

That actually worked? I feel as if something like that would have some major repercussions but...
Well, you're the one who accomplished it.

It was the only vulnerability we managed to discover, and faced with extinction-level events, a risk we were forced to take.

[There's almost definitely a tsunami heading for both shores actually, but given the Pacific coastlines lie mostly abandoned, he doubts the effects of them will be too far-reaching. Perhaps the Coastal Wall can finally accomplish something other than cowardice- or else crumble. Either outcome has its merits and it's overall a better alternative to the increasing size and number of the Kaiju coming through]

That's not a situation I actually want to imagine myself in.

And it does make the Cold War here seem almost trivial in comparison. However, I find the unpredictability and potential volatility of the 'imPort' population equally concerning.

We're not a perfect group, no.
There are a good number of imPorts who are trying to do good, however.

Yes, I have no doubt of that. Unfortunately, myself and my colleague are not the combat type, even with our new abilities, so the most we can do is attempt to avoid trouble.

[Newton's not good at that, but he prays the man is smart enough to avoid picking fights with other imPorts of unknown capabilities]

I don't suppose there's something of an advisement for those that may be more volatile in nature?

Mostly to stay out of trouble. Obey the law or you get charged.
In our case they disable our powers during probationary periods. I imagine a lot of people want to avoid that.

Disable? How on earth does the government manage that?

I believe it has to do with the nanites.
That said you're only looking at nullified powers and power dampeners if you're a criminal.

A moderately troubling implication, however..

Do you know if it would also nullify any biological alteration?
