[He'd been putting this off for a lot of reasons, In part because of how completely nuts things had been lately this seemed like a really douchebag time to be drawing attention to himself—especially since he had stayed out of the damn way when everyone went crazy. So he'd waited for a few non-crises posts to go up before making his move. But then there was the other reason; there was always an anxious ball of dread in the pit of his stomach at the thought of addressing such a huge audience of people for what boiled down to his own problems.

But he had to do it. His roller rink job (besides driving him insane was not getting him cash fast enough. His voice comes over the network, tripping over itself and he's talking a little too fast in places, rambling, but at least he's not mumbling.]

Er, sssooo, uh, h-hopefully this is alright to ask?? Pretty sure I saw someone asking about job stuff the other day. People use this network for a lot of stuff so I assume it's fine... I'm kind of looking for a job. —I have a job already! I mean, another job. Additionally. I'm not trying to get rid of my other job even though it is literally hell.

A-anyway, I've done construction before... But I was hoping for something to counterbalance my other job, kinda, I do a lot of standing around watching people skate around in circles for hours and hours, so slowly, sssooo. Slowly. It's like watching an old person texting so slow it is physically painful to witness.

—So I was looking for, I dunno, delivery work or something... Pizza, mysterious packages, whatever. Going really fucking fast probably isn't a skill that's at a premium in a place like this but it will be the fastest pizza of your life, I promise. So fast it will be redundant because you'll have to wait for it to cool!

Maybe?? Other speed-types have suggestions?? Or maybe you don't want me cutting into your work. Er.

That's why they started putting limiters on them, yeah... They are kinda dangerous if you don't know what the fuck you're doing and who reads instructions.

Er, not really missing... Stuff just breaks down a lot when you're going 150 kpm on fine machinery. The screws I can usually replace but most of the parts are specialty.

[ A full set of screwdrivers float over to them and hang within easy reach. ]

Er, I got it... I'm still missing a few but I've got the right fits to take apart the main body at least.

[ Aww. He keeps them floating on hand just in case. ]

[glances around for a semi-clean space to set the skate down so he can start taking apart. His hands are practiced and quick, like he's done this hundreds of time before but there's no less care taken.]

[ At least the mess is easily cleared; a sweep of Hiro's hand and everything is up in the air and out of the way. He leans in to watch carefully. ]

[It is a testament to how focused he is that he does not actually take note of the telekinesis just yet.]

Just taking off the main plating. That's all you really need to do to get at the interior stuff. These things were made to be modded.

[Indeed it pops off pretty easily to reveal the guts. Kazu's fingers gently start pointing things]

—That's cracking, that belts wearing out. I don't even have the right screwdriver to take this out so I can't clean it properly... This, right here, can't take high heat really well so I've been looking for a heat-resistant replacement... The ridges on this gear are starting to wear...

[ With Kazu pointing it all out for him, it's easier to feel too. He can hear the faint whine from the parts with wear, sensing where there ought to be repairs... ]

[ He floats it over. ]

Hell—[Once he gets it open, he carefully points out another point of wear.]

And that's just the left one, the right one's even worse off. I try to vary it but the right gets most of my weight when I need to decelerate...

Bet you could replace it with something stronger - I could scan the part and 3-D print a copy.

Um, yeah? They're not as common here, but they exist. I rigged mine up special.

[He sags back in his chair a little, carding a hand through his slightly sweaty hair and snagging his beanie off in the motion motion, using it to wipe his forehead]

Haaah. This is a real life saver. I don't know what the hell I would do if I couldn't fix my ATs. Whatever money you need, I'll get it to you.

... Okay, yeah. Um. I mostly just need the cost of materials? I make enough at this job not to care about the rest.
