[It's video time with Jeff! Why can't he just do text like normal people, you ask? Because then the world wouldn't be able to see his beautiful face, duh. He's at his desk, lounging like a pro with a full glass of scotch held at eye line, managing to look somewhat thoughtful as he keeps his narrowed eyes on the alcohol before him.]

I went home like a month ago. Did one of those away for a day, lived a year things. Kinda makes you wonder what game the Porter's playing with crap like that, some weird ass brand of temptation and torture all in one.

So, real talk here, imPorts... If we all got told they didn't want us any more, that we got 24 hours to decide whether to go home or stay here forever, what would you do? Is what you built up here enough to keep you? Or are you just gonna be counting down the hours to get back and see those you left behind?

Yeah, well, he got caught. Like, three weeks after his eighteenth birthday. Anyway, now he's twenty-eight and he was totally honest about everything on his law school applications and everything, and he passed the bar, but people are totally weird about hiring him because of his record. But once he can show that he's a good worker, with experience working with imPorts...

Well, yeah, but now that you're taking on more pro bono cases, I'm sure you're going to need more help. And he's got brilliant qualifications when it comes to criminal law. Obviously. Experience on both sides. He's also really charismatic, but not quite as handsome as you are, so he won't distract. Honestly, I expect given his features that he'd actually make you pop a little bit more.

[Playing to his ego is a fine choice. The mention of handsome levels does seriously get him thinking for a second.]

He's young though. Risky play getting more charisma on the show. I'd be better with another woman on my team that won't steal away my fans.

What? Why not? And how would he even steal away your fans? It's not like fandom is a thing that only gets dedicated to one person. He'll encourage new people to see you. Isn't that worth something? You'll get new fans.

How can introducing him possibly make my show better?

Because he's really good at what he does. So you'll help more people who've been wrongly accused. And he likes to set up people to make jokes, so you'll get to make all sorts of jokes. And you'll innoculate yourself against criticisms that it's just an imPort ego showcase.

Ugh. [He's reminded of a younger Annie, back when she'd constantly harass him to 'do the right thing' all day every day. What was it he'd said to her? "You're becoming dangerous, Annie. It's those doe eyes." Yeah, basically that.]
