[The video comes on but it's just a shot of the top half of his helmet and the sky above because he's holding his comm like a walkie-talkie.

He puts on a 'authoritative' voice.] Hello. Yes. This is Captain General Fourth Class Caboose. I need you to deliver to me at least fourteen new friends, stat. ASAP, and...BYOB. NASDAQ. Over and out and in, amen.

[...the video continues with just a shot of his armored foot on a grubby sidewalk and his voice further off.]

OH MY GOD FRECKLES LOOK! An outside party!

[A grating mechanical voice answers:] Hostiles detected.

Having a gun shoved in her face is kind of alarming though. Especially when it talks?] Um. Hi, Freckles? Why is he scanning?

That's how he looks for friends! He usually finds friends because Freckles is a very friendly person. [Caboose crouches a little bit and holds out the side of his assault rifle for her to touch.] You can pet him, it's okay.

Um. [That's a nice offer, but she's gonna keep her hands to herself.] I don't wanna pet him.

...And he doesn't seem very friendly.

Wha-? That's not true! Freckles- [Caboose looks down at his assault rifle.] Hey. Be nice! Say something nice.

[There's a whirring, grating sound before Freckles begrudgingly says,] No hostile forces detected.

See? He likes you! He's a good boy. Freckles is just misunderstood sometimes.

[Oh. Well, that's. Uh. Good? The gun doesn't think her 12 year old tiny self is a threat. Awesome.]

Does he say other words? Human-y like words?

Sometimes! He's a lot better at playing fetch [targeting and shooting] and finding friends [thermal scanning and autolock] and being my best most best friend ever than talking though. But he talks sometimes!

FRECKLES! SPEAK!

[Caboose turns to her expectantly. OBVIOUSLY THAT WAS GREAT.]

[Okay well. That was other words. Not human-y type words but uh. Yeaaaaah.]

He's not gonna try t' um. Shoot me, right? Cause he likes me.

[YEAH LET'S JUST ESTABLISH THIS AND THEN MOVE ON FROM THERE.]

Oh yeah, Freckles never shoots anybody who doesn't deserve it! [that is a fuckIN LIE] If he does, it's definitely an accident. But he's pretty good about it, so don't worry.
