He puts on a 'authoritative' voice.] Hello. Yes. This is Captain General Fourth Class Caboose. I need you to deliver to me at least fourteen new friends, stat. ASAP, and...BYOB. NASDAQ. Over and out and in, amen.








[...the video continues with just a shot of his armored foot on a grubby sidewalk and his voice further off.]

OH MY GOD FRECKLES LOOK! An outside party!

[A grating mechanical voice answers:] Hostiles detected.

[okay just fucking kill him now, PERMANENTLY, because that's all sounding kind of great. maybe it's just that anything seems better than being stuck in a storage unit that basically means you're stuck talking to yourself?? who knows. it is a mystery. it's not like afternoons with caboose are actually anything even remotely approaching enjoyable.]

Okay! We can go to the BEACH and we can fight SEA MONSTERS and we can hunt SHARKS and maybe we can get stranded on an island after a three hour tour and then we can make clothes out of LEAVES AND WE CAN FIND WATERFALLS!! AND WE CAN BUILD A HUT OUT OF BAMBOO AND THEN IT WILL BE SO GREAT, AND SO AWESOME AND GREAT! AND I WILL EVEN LET TUCKER COME WITH US EVEN THOUGH HE PROBABLY WON'T HELP AT ALL! That's starting to sound a little like a shipwreck, there. I think we wanna stay in our cities, here. Not that that doesn't sound picturesque, and all.

[Caboose tilts his head a little.

He definitely has a lot of trouble connecting the dots sometimes. Most of the time. Like, 90% of the time, he has trouble with that. And he has trouble seeing patterns and clues that other people would find obvious, and he has trouble retaining information, but.

He's known Church for years. Predicting Church's behavior is almost like an instinct at this point, and right now, he's...weird. Yup, weird. Caboose isn't sure how (maybe if he could connect things he'd figure out that Church is screaming and frothing at the mouth angry one second, then calm and more considerate the next and it's whiplash) but he knows that something is definitely off. He's missing something...
