What's that about? Besides eating. If it's just about eating, that's fine, that's great, actually. [ says the kid happily sitting in a giant cheeseburger ] But I keep seeing klunk with turkeys and little people in weird hats and black shorts and I figure I shouldn't just go around stupid to the whole thing.

Anyway, besides that, is anyone doing something for it? Last year there were a lot of different parties, and the city did a thing too, I think? Seemed like a pretty cool holiday.

It's suppose to celebrate a part of American hstory. The pilgrims and the Indians worked together to survive despite their difference. It was during a time before America became America, but it's still counts as American history.

Some president made it the fancy Eatin' Day it is now. Made up the whole bit some people might try to sell you, about Pilgrims and Indians holdin' hands and bein' besties at a huge feast. Like, yeah, bunch of people left their country and crossed a big ocean to settle here. Had some trouble their first winter, not enough food and shit, got their asses bailed out by Natives. Indians. The Wampanoag! That's all true.

And the Pilgrim people did have a little feast. They did that givin' thanks thing sometimes. So did the Natives. Feastin' and thankin' for everybody. The Wampanoag weren't invited to the Pilgrim's party, they just showed up all... 'Dude, guys, whatcha doin'? Heard you shootin' off guns and shit, you cool? Oh, you're just celebratin' stuff? Okay, we'll hang out for a few days then.' So they hung out and that was the feast. No big deal, just allies sittin' around pickin' at deer and turkeys with their hands. Don't know why deer got cut out of the picture. Maybe that deer movie...

Anyway, point is nobody came out of it too full to move or with matchin' BFF tattoos. The tat part is extra important, especially for the Indians, 'cause the Pilgrim people and their buddies went on to thank 'em for helpin' out by... [He cuts off mid-sentence, mulls it over a moment, and then mumbles-] By bein' major assholes for a really long time.

[He recovers his enthusiasm quickly enough, though.]

But turkey's great. And pie! Really like pie. Almost any kind, too. Flaky crust with gooey mush fillin'... Think I'm gonna buy a pie. You ever had pie, man?
