[ The camera turns on to Kanaya's face, looking very much not herself. It isn't only the lack of polish, her makeup missing and hair sweat-drenched and tangled, but not even the right species. There's a softer edge to all of her features, her skin having turned from granite to coper, and of course no horns to speak of. To all appearances, she looks perfectly human, though a disheveled human, at that.

She tries to sit up in her hospital bed, but it isn't an easy task with her leg in a sling. She looks upset, frantic even, her breathing quick and labored, passing through grit teeth. ]

I need blood. Not for me, it's-- [ She pauses, taking a deep breath. ] They won't let me leave! But...it's important.

[ She glances off to the side, knitting her brows as she tries to collect her thoughts. At one point, her breath stills, as if it's stopped, but it isn't long before she breaks back into a gasp. That tactic isn't going to work when she's like this. ]

It has to be at least four. But that's per day, and I don't know how long until I'll be out. More would be ideal. If you have regenerative abilities, that's...even better.

[ She closes her eyes for a moment, taking another deep breath before she look back to the camera. ]

I know it's asking for a lot, but. Please. I need your help.

[ And the camera clicks off. ...Only to click back on a moment later, now private to Sabriel, Kanaya gripping her forehead tightly. ]

Shit. Please. Please don't hurt them. I'm. I'm taking care of it!

[ ooc: Kanaya has telepathy that she has no idea how to control, so it's possible your character might pick up a few thoughts she's accidentally broadcasting! Please let me know in the subject line if you are cool with this. ]

[He doesn't think he's ever seen Kanaya quite like this. First of all, she's human, but secondly, Riku's not sure he's ever seen her this unsettled.

Also, he can't not volunteer for this, even though he has no idea what exactly he's signing up for. That's why he decides to flick the setting to private before he answers -- if bleeding is involved, he knows some people who would probably disapprove of this.]

I can heal. I'd be okay. Where do you need me?

[ She furrows her brows, thinking of how best to manage. ]

I have a friend. His name is Martin, and he's a vampire. He knows not to take too much. [ Her voice echoes through his mind, "God. He'll be terrified. I don't even know if he'll let Riku in." ] I can give you his address.

[ Kitty's breath is shaky - she'd characterize herself as unenthusiastic, but an external observer would probably peg her for what she is, which is scared shitless. Still, her chin is firm. ]

[ "Scared shitless" is hardly exclusive, not today. Everyone's worlds have been turned upside down, and Kanaya's certainly scattered as a headless chicken, trying to keep everything from falling down. ]

Immortal? How did-- How does that work?

[ Without the hero get-up, he has no idea who this is, even if the voice is somewhat familiar, but he replies regardless. Blood, that's a bit of an odd request. Unfortunately one he has to consider for himself as well, for the moment. ]

Blood? [ Though boy oh boy, does he sound tired. ] You are at a hospital. It should have plenty of blood.

[ There's something vaguely familiar about the voice, but without the din of the inferno, she's not quite able to place it. Honestly, if she cared to pretend she's human, she could have kept up a secret identity, but that's a lie she'd never tolerate. ]

If it were for me, that might be a solution. But things being as they are, it does me little good.

[ "I don't even know if I can drink it myself, being in this state!" ]

Donating blood doesn't sound like you're asking for a lot at all. I don't think I can regenerate, but I can help at least a little bit -- does the type of blood matter?

I don't know. I've...never thought to try different types! Human blood in this context has always just been human blood, as far as I'm aware. I doubt they'd mind, at least. I don't know that we really have the luxury for them to mind!

[ She doesn't even private it yet, whether by accident, or just in case anyone wasn't totally sure she's talking about vampires. ]

Well. They've used mostly my blood to now. My proper blood. [ "God, I miss my blood." ] Likely as it is a human would be ideal, we couldn't say without trying.

[ She takes a deep breath, forcing a smile that only makes her look more annoyed. ] I'm not particularly alright. I want to be out of here, on my feet. My feet apparently disagree.

Is this a "go to the hospital" sorta deal? 'Cause I can give some blood but I, uh...should definitely not go near a hospital right now. Or anywhere with people that's. Not super fireproof.
