It's been a while since I've seen new faces on the network. [ Her smile's warm, but a little troubled. They were the first imPorts to be brought here for years, or so she's pretty sure she remembers hearing when they'd first arrived. Can it really bode well that more are coming through? ]

You must have a lot of questions. I'm sure those of us who arrived here earlier will do what we can to help answer at least some of them, so don't hesitate to ask.

[ She clears her throat. ]

But there was something else I wanted to bring up. Valentines' Day is in a couple of days. I think making your own gifts adds a personal touch, and I thought some people might feel the same way, but not know where to start. Chocolates are a pretty traditional gift -- I was going to make some for a few people tomorrow, so if anyone would like to come by and learn, I'd be happy to show you how to do it yourself.

If enough people are interested, I'll see if I can find a bigger place to accommodate us, unless you've got any suggestions. And if you want to teach people how to make something else, you're more than welcome to come.

What sort of chocolates were you thinking of making, I wonder?

I haven't quite decided on that yet. [ It'll be dependent on how much chocolate is left over when she stops sneaking away bits of it to eat herself... ]

I was thinking truffles might be good, because you can use the same basic recipe for a lot of variations.

Mm, so you're quite the chef, then?

Truffles may be deceptively simple, but they often don't catch the attention of the less experienced.

Oh, I wouldn't say that. I just know how to make a few things. [ She'd need to, with her appetite. But she's also just being modest.. ]

What would you suggest, then?

Maybe chocolate dipped fruit? Caramels? Cookies?

The possibilities are endless, but I think you truffles would likely be more than pleasant to try.

I don't care about the stupid holiday but if you make me some chocolates I'll love you forever. [She's trying to sound cheerful.]

I'll be certain to give you some, then. I always end up making more than I need to. [ Mostly because she eats them as she goes, usually not even waiting for it to cool... she did polish off more than forty pounds of chocolate by herself, once. ]

Those are good suggestions, though. You said you were pretty good at cooking yourself, right?

Of course! I'd be more than happy to. [ Well... she'll try to remember not to eat it all is more like it. The less-than-upbeat tone doesn't go unnoticed, but she doesn't pry, for now. ]

What kind do you like?

[After her very public breakdown this morning, asking is probably not the best idea.]

You're seriously the best. Uuuuuh...whatever that doesn't have nuts in it will do.

[ There is asking and asking -- if she feels like talking about it, it'll come out in its own time. ]

[This is Kenzi, have you met her? She doesn't usually talk about the bad stuff with anyone save Bo and she doesn't have her here, nor does she want her here.]

[ They might not have met directly, but Gilbert's at least mentioned her once or twice... ]

[While he's only just arrived, Isaac is a pretty resourceful guy. That and he's trying to figure out exactly how to use this ancient technology, so he saw the post.

It's been almost a month since we arrived here. At the time, we were told that the last wave of imPorts was six years ago, and that they were all sense home four years ago.

As long as you don't eat them all, you're welcome to drop by. You're not allergic to anything, are you?

I don't think that many people are going to show up. [ Hopefully... ]

But don't worry. I asked permission from some of the cafeteria staff at the university -- they said they didn't mind letting me have people in there for an afternoon.

Mm, it's in two days. [ Short notice to throw something like this together, but she's more a fan of improvisation than anything else... ]

And yes, I make my own when I get the chance. The last couple of years I was usually traveling around this time of the year, so this is the first time I've done it in a while...
