A man named Crane released a bunch of gas into the crowd at the swearing-in. It made people hallucinate really awful things.

And have we any ideas on why. He might have done that? Possibly?

And I don't know, but I wouldn't doubt it. Others would probably know better than me.

"Know" is a strong word, we've chatted but we hardly know a thing about each other, I certainly don't have anything against him and wish him the best of luck in all endeavors.

[A pause. He adds quickly:]

All endeavors that do not involve gassing people who do not wish to be gassed, of course. Not that I can judge, wasn't there, people can change, reform is possible, etc.

[plz don't gas him, any possible waterfowl-named doctors who might be reading.]

People can definitely change, but I think they have to want to first. And he seems to be having a pretty good time with the whole domestic terrorism thing.

[He doesn't ask how this guy can have "nothing against him". George might have a little too strong a sense of right and wrong.]
