Kaburagi, and the man himself looks friendly enough, if a bit uncertain. But who wouldn't be upon finding themselves suddenly dragged into a brand new world, right?

He's currently in his military-provided housing, residence #014, chilling out on a couch in the living room as he addresses the network for the first time.]

So I guess this is the part where I introduce myself and stuff, huh? Yo. I'm Kotetsu.

Everyone here's from all sorts of different places, right? Us "imPorts", I mean. So I was wondering if you guys'd tell me something cool about where you're from!

[It sounds flippant, as if he's not at all concerned about his situation, but to those with a keener eye, there's a certain tension to his frame, the set of his jaw. There's a great many things he wants to ask about this place and its people and the military that's brought them, but he wants to get a feel for this place and the people drawn into it with him first. He needs a couple days to process all this, to deal with the fact that he was literally just about to retire before this happened, before he's ready to confront any of it head-on.]

As for something cool about where I'm from...uhhh. Oh! I know, the city I'm from's built in a pretty neat way, with three levels each on top of the last one.

[ Nelson peers curiously at the screen, still intrigued and unsure of what to make of all the new faces turning up. There's a comfort in company but also a guilt at knowing no one is here because they want to be.

He's wearing his costume, not yet having bothered to change out of it from his explorations around town earlier. ]

Three levels...? It's stacked on itself? [ His expression communicates he's having trouble picturing it. ] I'm from New York City, I'm not sure there's much to tell that everyone doesn't already know. Though I'd only wished they had cared about heroism there as they seem to here.

[Kotetsu has to do a doubletake when he first gets this response because wow, you sure do look like a certain someone. Do excuse him if he stares a moment.]

Yeah! It's got these support pillars to hold it up. On the bottom's Bronze Stage, then the next level's Silver Stage, and on top's Gold Stage.

[There's a slight pause. He's heard of New York, of course, but this guy hasn't heard of Sternbild, which he supposes lends some more credibility to the whole 'different universes' thing, much as it's still weird to think about.]

C'mon, there must be something you think's unique about your NYC, right?

[A beat, and more somberly:]

They not big on people with powers there, huh?

Why on Earth would they build it like that? It seems so... well, it is unusual, but maybe there's a good reason.

[ Ever optimistic! Surely if there wasn't it just... wouldn't work, right? No matter how hard it is to picture. Nelson shakes his head. ]

New York is unique enough on its own! At least where I'm from. We, er-- most of our heroes don't really have powers. But the country didn't take very kindly to people wearing masks. I can understand the logic, I suppose, but I think heroes should be encouraged, not-- well, try to stamp them down.

Something cool...[Ellie makes a thoughtful noise as she thinks about it.] Medicine has come far enough that you can replace just about anything for a pretty affordable price. [Including eyes, which is why she has one blue eye and one green.] Your city sounds very impressive. Was there a reason for the design?

[...There's quite a bit of silence for the first while after Ellie's comment, because that brings Kotetsu's mind back to places it would rather avoid, and he's thinking about Tomoe again, wondering if the medicine where this person's from could have helped her. It's not like it matters--it's been seven years--but sometimes it's hard not to let oneself go down the path of what-ifs.

Eventually, however, he realizes he's been quiet too long and hastily responds:]

U-um, yeah. There was a flood a long time ago, 'cause Sternbild's surrounded by two rivers, so it's made that way to keep it off of the water.

[Awk...ward pause.]

Sss...oo...do they just. Make. New parts? Or...

[She's not sure if she should ask about that long pause or not. Ultimately she decides not to, it's not her place to pry.] I see. That was a smart engineering move and probably better than trying to relocate the populace to a new location.

[She nods.] Yeah, they just make new ones or if the part isn't completely gone we have plenty of ways to just heal it.

A multi-tiered city, huh? Defensive or just making room for more people? [Give him a minute, man. He's trying to think of something cool about home. Unfortunately, thinking about home has a lot of other bad things associated with it.

After a while, though, he figures it out.] ShockPoint Drives are cool. I love working on them. [And Ellie's voice is in his head calling him a nerd. Whatever.] And I'm Isaac Clarke.

Uh, I read once that over 800 languages are spoken in New York City. Most linguistic diversity per capita in the world, at least in that universe.

[Spider-Man is used to friends returning to-- well, not returning any more, not now that they're in a different universe-- showing up on the Network again without realizing they're on repeats. Heck, he was in that very same position the first time he arrived (can remember arriving) in a Porter Lab. Doesn't mean it doesn't still twinge.]

I don't think that's the most important thing you need to know, though.

I'm from Tokyo, so it's hard to pick just one interesting thing about it. But the food's pretty good.

[FUCK HIS LIFE HIS IS THE SECOND TIME SOMEONE'S SAID THAT TO HIM and it's making him feel viscerally uncomfortable with everything right now. He can just picture Maverick with his eyes glowing neon blue as he wiped his own mind, and it makes him think about how many times he tampered with Barnaby's. He'd never been around to mess with his, right? Would he even know if he--no, no, that doesn't make sense. A contradiction had been enough to jar the false memories lose with Barnaby, and that's already happened with these two people.
