Well that's not inaccurate. Though yes long, and a bit pretentious. Still, it's a thoughtful suggestion.

I do encryption and decryption as a programmer of course, but that's not my primary function here.

And you're good at what you do, aren't you?

You don't have to tell me what it is—you really shouldn't if you want to keep it secret. But it sounds like . . . it's important to you. And a big part of your identity, too.

A name that ignores that isn't going to work. One that can honour it would be better, even if it's just in a roundabout way.

Perhaps. But what I'm most proud of wouldn't subtly translate. I can attempt to think of something smaller scale or more vague in nature.

Try that? It'll be different if it comes from you, or someone who knows you. Especially if you aren't thinking about it so hard. I don't know you at all, so it won't be the same.
