I'm curious. Now, I'm sure this question has been posed many times before, but I'd still like to know. How many of you already had powers before you were brought to this place? And how many of you were--for lack of a better term--completely ordinary beforehand? And how did you adjust to your newfound powers, if at all?

You see, I've been here for quite some time now, but still find it a little difficult to compensate for this--hm, unnatural strength? [ she doesn't want to call it super strength ] That I've been given. I assumed I would get used to it over time, but perhaps there's something more to it than just that.

[ She sighs, and stops tossing the thing up and down, now holding the broken-off doorknob up to be seen. ]

In other news, there doesn't happen to be anyone here with the power to fix doors very quickly, does there? I can certainly fix it myself, but I'm afraid I might make things worse instead.

Might. I don't know, but when I got it, it took me some time to get used to it. Used to open doors, tear 'em off the hinges. Shit like that.

So, similar to my current predicament, then. You aren't the first to suggest I see what the full extent of this power is and, honestly, it's starting to sound like a bit of fun.

But seriously, the way I see it, in a place like this you gotta learn how to survive. Otherwise some asshole with some other weird power might try to take advantage. Or the Russians. I hear they're trying to take over now too.

You'd be right. The Russians have been a bit quiet recently, but earlier in the year they caused a lot of trouble on this side of the globe. You're very lucky that you were brought here after all of that. It wasn't fun.

You think they're done causing trouble? Or just biding their time?

I haven't a clue, to be honest. I'm more inclined to believe the latter than the former, because if there's one thing I know about Russians, it's that they're stubborn.

Perhaps. I think they pulled too many big stunts in those two months that it may take them some time to try anything again. And now other countries are keeping an eye out, as well.

But that's just my hope.
