I don't mean I want to turn vigilante, or go the other way. And I don't want to go AWOL. I know about those. I just made a mistake, I know that now. I made a mistake and I want to undo it.

there has to be a form to fill out. something.

Do you think people can make it alone? If i think about it that way, everythig's designed so we comply and help them so we can get help back. I guess it's fair

Because they see us as a resource. Because they do want to control us. They don't make much of a secret of that.

They permit unsettled to use the space, but as I said, their right to it is forfeit. What this means for the unsettled is that they can be put out of house at any time.

Of course, I can't recall a case where this actually happened, so it's probably not something to warrant concern, but it also doesn't hurt to be aware of the possibility.

As for the conditions, I think many of us wonder that, but in the end it is primarily for their benefit. Which isn't to suggest that it isn't also for ours. Registration for imPorts is not unlike having a green card or permanent resident status. We are all of us not here of our own volition, but registered imPorts are more like actual citizens of the country and can be better protected...provided they respect and fulfill their responsibilities. The same as any other citizen.

It's certainly not honest, no. It's dressing it up far nicer than what it is. It is a sort of coercion, isn't it.

The occupation in February, too. And the kidnappings in January.

But a lot of people who were here then have been ported out now. And it was half a year ago
so sometimes I don't think it comes up until people ask
or until someone's reminded of it.

No. We're not expected to be Heroes. Or so they say. We are expected to contribute to the betterment of society in other ways, however. By working, paying taxes, voting within our community, and so on. We're also responsible for legally representing our own in some instances, and the unsettled aren't permitted to act as members of the tribunal. In short, you will not have a voice.
