experiment log 002 -- video
[Hange has set her communicator (with all its fancy new features!) up on a desk or something so that she has both hands free. She's sitting on a couch, more than likely the couch at Levi and Erwin's place and not her own, with her hands folded neatly in her lap and her hair tied back professionally. She's wearing a button-down shirt with nice slacks, and a bolo tie adorned with a round, green stone. She is much more at ease and calm than in her first post to the network, and somehow it's a bit unsettling.
She adjusts her glasses, clears her throat, then speaks.]
Ah, yes, hello! Citizens of Heropa and wherever else you may be. My name is Hange Zoë, 14th Commander of the Survey Corps. I know that means absolutely nothing to most of you, so let's move on, shall we?
You may recognize me as one of the four winners of that rather unpleasant activity with the paintballs! Honestly… [she gestures vaguely] Why take something that could have just been fun and make it so painful? But that's not important right now! [she clasps her hands a bit and smiles brightly at the camera]
My prize for winning the game is an audience with our most mysterious captor, the Porter! Amazing!! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself! [she wiggles her fingers for emphasis] Ah, but I haven't been here that long. I haven't experienced many of the things others have! While I have no shortage of questions to ask, I fear they may not be the right questions.
So!! This is why I come to you today, Network! [she points at the camera, enthusiastic as ever] I need you, yes you, to suggest things for me to ask during my audience with the porter!! What mysteries keep you up at night? What knowledge would benefit us most? [she opens her arms wide in a welcoming gesture] Please, let me know. My heart and my time are yours!
[PRIVATE; ERWIN SMITH]
[with the main broadcast over, Hange leans in and looks over his glasses] And you, Mr. Smith, are going to help me pick through these to find the most useful. You're welcome.

It's not really a question per se, but see if you can get pictures. Maybe somebody can recognize the tech.
video;
Hello Dr. Connors! I will do my best. Do you have anything small I could sneak in? I'm not sure a large camera would be too well received.

And as for your question... do you think you could ask for me how I could get past sweaters? I'm supposed to be able to generate clothes with my new powers, but all I can do so far is knitted sweaters.
video
.... [And now she's going to squint at the camera] ... Ah... hm. I suppose I can! If I don't have limited questions. You should just keep trying! Practice makes perfect, you know!
voice;
Sneak me in.

[Jacob isn't saluting, but his stance and expression are formal enough that he might as well be.]
I'd like to second what someone else said. If they let you take pictures, there's a lot of people who would love to see them.
Also, there's a chance the Porter might be linked to something... dangerous in my world. If you're going to talk to it, you might want to take some precautions.

A second request for pictures, understood!
[that DOES get her attention] Mmm... Is that so? Could you be more specific?

What I'd want to know is if a place such as this is our future, or its past. Several other imPorts are apparently from hundreds or years in every direction. The Porter might now if it suddenly decided to get chatty.

... You know, that is a very interesting theory, Levi. The Porter certainly had plenty of information about the residents of our world... perhaps it can tell us its past. I first assumed that this place was more futuristic than our world...! But... a cataclysm could easily drive this world to a state not unlike ours.

Can you try to find out why it returns some people to their world? Is there a way to force it to return someone home?

Oh, Gloob! I haven't even thought of what I'm going to ask, yet!

[While Lightning is confident that all this information is known, she still feels the need to share it.]
Aside from that, understanding why we're here will help. What the overall goal is in keeping us here. My understanding is that there are numerous worlds, but what's the point of this one? That's what I'd like to know.
And it's a pleasure to speak to you, Commander. I've met your predecessor, I believe. [But she hadn't been aware of a change in command. How quickly things become different, even here.]
video
Mmm. That's a good question indeed. What makes this world so special? What about this particular hunk of space debris makes it crucial to bring in people from other worlds? Is it a sort of keystone? Or is this world... selfish? Hoo hoo! Mysteries!!
Ah! [she seems to recognize her, now] You must be Miss Lightning, then. It's wonderful to finally meet you!

Congratulations. That was quite a game. (By which he means, THAT SUCKED) Have you decided what you will be asking yet?
