I've undergone some training in emergency medicine -- enough to know it would take a lifetime of learning to get any good at it.

So the world you come from, it must have been a shock when you got here when you did?

[ Training to be a proper firefighter is a little beyond her practical skillset, immunity to flame aside. Better to work alongside the EMTs, and hold the hands of the injured while they're treated on street curbs. ]
The first few days felt like a dream. The confusing kind, that you can't quite remember after the fact. I didn't know what I didn't know, if that makes any sense.
