Hello, [ is said, with a twinge of a raised eyebrow. ] My name is Daenerys Stormborn, of the House Targaryen, and this next moon will mark the six months I've been here. I am not the first of my land to arrive -- many of you are already familiar with Ambassador Baelish.

And over the past few months, more and more of my people have come through the Porter. We represent different lands, different values, different politics, but in this world, we find ourselves with more similarities than we'd ever imagine sharing. If any of you of Westeros or Essos are viewing this [ because gods know it took her a while ] and we've yet to meet, I'd very much like to rectify that.

There are more than just us, too, who have likewise entered this land and felt like strangers to its technology, its ways. If you feel more at home in a world of horses and candles and swords, I'd like to know you too, whether you're new or have been here for sometime. We face a conflict between wishing to recall always the worlds from which we hail, and represent them proudly, while achieving a level of integration that ensures we have a voice. Perhaps there is a solution to find, between all of us.

Likewise, [ she adds, ] if you are entirely at home here but perhaps would be willing to act as a guide, then please do step forward with your name and your skills. You would want also to be a patient sort of person, but I assure you, we learn quickly.

My world would also fall more in the middle. Horses, candles, and sword are still in use, but alongside automobiles, electric lighting, and pistols—though the lighting and pistols certainly get more use than the automobiles. I've read that Benz has built some sort of German contraption, the prototype to these automobiles here, I'd have loved to see that back home.

[ Victor, nobody cares. And he realizes nobody cares as he stops nattering. ]

Anyway, it is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Stormborn. I'm glad to see that even those from a time further in the past than I are taking to this technology so well.

[ The woman with silver hair is the first thing to catch Sansa's attention but it's the name that holds her attention. Of course, she knows who Daenerys is. She has heard the stories and she has even heard talk about the other young woman around King's Landing. She knows how they had worried about what Daenerys was up to and the threat that she could pose to the Lannisters.

That is just one reason to reach out to her beyond the fact that the Queen is asking for anyone from her world to speak up.

Turning on her side of the video (after a couple of minutes trying to figure out how to do so), she offers a polite smile before speaking. ]

[ By now, after Snow, after Tyrion Lannister, after Viserys, after Greyjoy, the eventuality of meeting someone like a Stark is the sort of thing that's crossed Daenerys' mind. She had imagined Eddard, and she had imagined him falsely. Coarse men of the North, savage rebels, and murderers. Jon has already proven this to be something of a simplification, to no great surprise.

That Sansa further complicates matters, with her smile, and willingness to do as Daenerys invited, in spite of her name.

So Daenerys smiles back, although it isn't a polite smile. It is small, more in the eyes than at her mouth, and knowing. She had advocated, after all, for their similarities. ]

Lady Sansa, [ she greets. ] Then you're a daughter of the north. Of Winterfell.

And my adaptation, I would say, came in fits and starts. These devices, and ones like it, took me the longest thus far, but I hadn't been so willing to reach out to other imPorts, nor did I understand the value of this sort of communication. It is an easier thing to adapt to what attracts you.

I do still manage to drop my own communicator now and then.
