Hello, [ is said, with a twinge of a raised eyebrow. ] My name is Daenerys Stormborn, of the House Targaryen, and this next moon will mark the six months I've been here. I am not the first of my land to arrive -- many of you are already familiar with Ambassador Baelish.

And over the past few months, more and more of my people have come through the Porter. We represent different lands, different values, different politics, but in this world, we find ourselves with more similarities than we'd ever imagine sharing. If any of you of Westeros or Essos are viewing this [ because gods know it took her a while ] and we've yet to meet, I'd very much like to rectify that.

There are more than just us, too, who have likewise entered this land and felt like strangers to its technology, its ways. If you feel more at home in a world of horses and candles and swords, I'd like to know you too, whether you're new or have been here for sometime. We face a conflict between wishing to recall always the worlds from which we hail, and represent them proudly, while achieving a level of integration that ensures we have a voice. Perhaps there is a solution to find, between all of us.

Likewise, [ she adds, ] if you are entirely at home here but perhaps would be willing to act as a guide, then please do step forward with your name and your skills. You would want also to be a patient sort of person, but I assure you, we learn quickly.

I've known both tech levels at home, if you can believe that. My own grandfather lived in a time when horses, swords, and candle were all that were available.

It'd be smart to refine your understanding of tech security to protect yourself in this world.

Er, and when you say there are even more of you lot here now, how... many would you say that is?

My world's closer to horses and candles and swords than it is to all this. It falls somewhere in the middle, I suppose.

That does sound pretty close to the world I'm from originally, though I think I've had more time than most to get used to worlds like this one.

[A beat, wherein she pulls a bit of a face.]

I run a business out of my place in De Chima helping to teach people about technology. But I don't charge people who are new to the idea of computers and still adjusting, at least not for explaining what tech is and making sure their shit is secure. So if you want I could help. You or anyone else from your world or the other people "integrating". I'm not very good at advertising myself like this.

I know it's weird to write text when you used a video but you can set your device to record straight from your thoughts so I tend to just do that. You can respond however you want, I know typing is slow when you're new to it. Gotta break out that Mavis Beacon.

My world would also fall more in the middle. Horses, candles, and sword are still in use, but alongside automobiles, electric lighting, and pistols—though the lighting and pistols certainly get more use than the automobiles. I've read that Benz has built some sort of German contraption, the prototype to these automobiles here, I'd have loved to see that back home.

[ Victor, nobody cares. And he realizes nobody cares as he stops nattering. ]

Anyway, it is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Stormborn. I'm glad to see that even those from a time further in the past than I are taking to this technology so well.

[ The woman with silver hair is the first thing to catch Sansa's attention but it's the name that holds her attention. Of course, she knows who Daenerys is. She has heard the stories and she has even heard talk about the other young woman around King's Landing. She knows how they had worried about what Daenerys was up to and the threat that she could pose to the Lannisters.

That is just one reason to reach out to her beyond the fact that the Queen is asking for anyone from her world to speak up.

Turning on her side of the video (after a couple of minutes trying to figure out how to do so), she offers a polite smile before speaking. ]

I am from Westeros. [ A brief pause. ] My name is Sansa Stark.

I'm more comfortable with the tech myself, the stuff they have here is actually a bit dated for me, but my new home back where I'm from has a mix of both tech and decidedly not-tech. Horses and candles and swords included. [ A beat. ] Especially horses.

If you still need help with it all, I don't mind lending a hand.

I'm willing to help if you still need it. I'm from a quite similar world, and what was new to me, no longer is - I've been here for over two years, after all.

How have you been, Daenerys? [ after the whole black out thing. ]

[The very dragonish face and wings definitely aren't a familiar sight, but the accent hopefully will be from a brief meeting in De Chima months ago.]

I too, was not familiar with the things they have here, and I still find them quite foreign.

I saw something referencing a renaissance faire— [ what's the renaissance ]— and I'm thinking of moving in.

It helps to hear that I'm not the only one out of my depth with the technology-- in the opposite direction.

Anything in particular you've got questions about, Miss?

If you want a crash course on modern science, I'm your girl. My world's technology and this place's are pretty similar, though we've got nothing as advanced as the Porter and nanites.

[She gestures with one hand to the fancy looking laboratory set up behind her.]

I'd love to learn more about your world too. I get the whole not wanting to lose your voice thing. Maybe it'd help to teach those of us from more modern worlds about how things are in yours.

The world I come from is more advanced than even this place, so I am willing to offer any help I can to anyone that needs it. My skills lie in technology and medical research and application as well as medical skills on the field and in surgery. Back home I was part of team who were pretty stubborn, so I have a lot of patience.

Daenerys Stormborn, is it? My name is Cicero Gavar; I believe I may be one of the "horses and swords" fellows you've mentioned. Though, I don't think I'm familiar with Westeros or Essos. I'm not sure if it's by different continents, or different worlds. I suppose I wouldn't be surprised if it were the latter. [ and there's a rueful chuckle. ] I'll admit, however, it is a comfort to know that I'm not alone in being new to this technology.

[ and then the camera shakes, and there's a very undignified noise; guess who's just dropped the thing? it takes him a minute to pick it back up. ]

[Sam sounds a little amused, but not unkindly. He's not surprised she's becoming a popular figure already - there's just something innately charismatic about Daenarys Targaryen. She's got a presence that draws people like moths to a porch light.]

But I've got an update on that one you asked me about. The government gave me a little land after that blackout ordeal. Isn't much right now, mostly just a good-sized pond in the woods behind my cabin, but there's land surroundin' it for sale and I already live off the beaten path. No real neighbors.

If you want to come by and take a look at it, I think it could be what you're lookin' for.
