[Afternoon, imPorts! For once, Shinjiro seems to be outside, rather than at his desk- In a shady spot in the backyard of House 15, to be more specific. There’s not a whole lot visible behind him other than fence and a corner of house, and every so often he seems to glance down below the camera feed, as though to check on something.]

Got a quick question. What do snakes eat? Anyone on here ever taken care’ve one?

[Pause.]

And- I’m gonna need some wire clippers, too. I dunno if it’s gonna get out on its own. So if any one's got a pair they don't mind lending for a few minutes, hit me up.

[If anyone at House 15 is a creeper and has been paying attention to him- Earlier in the morning he’d gotten a pet for his bff and stuck it temporarily in a wire pen in the backyard. There is now a huge snake halfway in the pen instead. One that is too swollen around the middle to get back out. Housemates, feel free to go for network or action, whatever you'd like!]

Well, the most important question is what kind of snake is it?

[He picks up the phone and turns it to show a motherfucking burmese python sadly half-wedged in a now-empty pen. It seems pretty chill, despite circumstances.]

It's just kinda been chilling out since I got here. Figure I might as well keep it from snacking on like- little dogs and shit.

Ah...that's a python. Considering we're in Florida, probably a burmese python. They were an invasive species back home and apparently they're one here as well.

Did it just slither into your backyard or something like that?

[who would have thought. Jesus, Florida, stop trying to be Australia.]

...Yeah. Something like that. Apparently it was hungry.

[He crouches and does the stupid thing, just sort of running a hand down the scales on its back. Snake still don't care.]

I know they eat rabbits. [NOW. So much for bff getting a gift.] But that it? And does it gotta be alive?

[Finding out about Shinjiro's new pet snake isn't something that ought to happen over a broadcast, but luckily for Jaime, he doesn't have to. Unluckily for him, he finds out via the Scarab nattering in his head about snakes and potential threats, defying the fact that Jaime knows perfectly well that they've taken on aliens and supervillains.

He's pretty sure they can handle a snake.

Nevertheless, the Scarab complains,] Potential threat detected. Suggested course of action: terminate threat.

[Finally, Jaime goes around to the backyard, which is when the Scarab decides to take matters into its own hands, black carapace seeping out of his skin to cover his hand before forming into a relatively large, blue plasma cannon. Jaime lifts his hand into the air, finally losing his temper - the Scarab knows not to mess around with the suit without his permission - and scolds,] We are not killing the snake.

[This is the point at which he realizes that Shinjiro's also in the backyard, in defiance of everything he knows about the man. He stares at Shinjiro and, ever so slowly, puts his hand behind his back.

Nailed it.]

[Really, despite living with the guy since he'd shown up, Shinjiro hadn't ever thought of the guy as anything other than some exceptionally normal dude. Never really knew his power, never noticed anything too odd. He went to school, vegged out on weekends sometimes, had a pretty good sense of humor and worked at some dental office. Normal junk.

And that all goes sailing out the window as the guy walks into the backyard, one hand discolouring and deforming into something resembling a bad sci-fi weapon, all while chastising absolutely no one about killing an animal.]

[Really, what the hell do you say to that?]

...Good to hear.

[There's a distinct level of 'balls, you're crazy' to his tone, but he refrains from crouching back down to the ensnared reptile again, instead keeping his eyes on Jaime.] So, what are 'we' doing?

[Eyebrow raise. Pointed look at where Jaime's arm is obscured. Next to and below him, the large python seems content to just open its mouth in something akin to a yawn.]

Um.

[Crap. He had been doing so well with his secret ID here! Plenty of people know back home, but here he had managed to keep it a secret from everyone but Kid Flash out of necessity. Now his good record of, what, two months? Completely ruined, just because the Scarab's bored and evidently wants to kill things.]

Umm.

[The Scarab helpfully melts back into his skin, but it's too little, too late. He lets his hand drop back to his side and flexes his fingers a few times, gaze dropping down to the snake. God, the Scarab's a dick. It's kind of cute.]

My college roommate had one. I always thought it was kind of gross, but I didn't have much of a stomach for feeding things to things.

That's what I'm hearing. So far big rats seems like the way to go.

I'm not an expert in reptiles. But I don't think wire will be enough to hold it.
