Just a few brief questions before I send you all on your merry way.
[Brief questions? Is anything ever brief with Loki? Well he does sound a bit pressed and he has opted for audio as opposed to video and text so he might truly be a mischief maker of his word.]
Question one, do you own a weapon? If you answered yes feel free to move on to question two, if not then continue to question number three if it pleases you.
[Wait, there's a list? A list and a pregnant pause.]
And by weapon let us define it thusly: an armament used to inflict damage to structures, systems, living creatures. An object you might use in battle, hunting, crime, enforcing the law, etcetera. [Does he have to spell it out? Yes he does.]
Two. Do you have a name for your weapon? If you do feel free to share that information, I'm quite curious. If you do not I feel sorry for your weapon, if you are too shy to confess your embarrassing little secret then allow me to put you at ease: my ancestreal sword is called Laeveteinn. Now you may come out of your shell and reveal your true nerd colors or what have you, you've the agency and support.
[Though anyone who knows their Norse knows that Loki's sword Laeveteinn translates pitifully into "damage twig."]
Three. Are there mythological and/or famous weapons in the world where you come from? Again, feel free to share.
[You are in a safe space, marginally, but what exactly are you driving at, Loki?]
Oh, and finally, but entierly unrelated: is sleep really for the weak?

I never named my gun at home, myself.
[That gun that he still has here, but he's going to gently refrain from mentioning that on the open network.]
no subject
Really? Never thought about calling your gun death prowler or entrail splitter?

[He has the cold gun right there, in relative plain sight. No need to hide it.]
What does your sword's name mean?
Re: video
[Loki is a ray of sunshine...
But now it is time to play wheel of lies!]
Oh? It means death ripper.
[feel free to check him on that.]
Now what of you and that fine weapon, does it have a name?

Yeah. And no, I don't name my weapon. [ Or weapons for that matter. ] Seems kind of pointless when there's a billion of others just like it. But I know nuclear bombs had names back home, but I don't know them.
There are stories of dragons and stuff back home, but those aren't real.
And sleep makes you stronger. You'll get only weaker without any sleep.
video
[Loki knows something of nuclear weapons.]
Of course dragons are real, I've one as a child myself. [Long story about tw magical shape-sifting beings right here!]
Like the rats that died from sleep deprivation...so sleep is important.

And no, to the contrary, most people are weak without sleep.

Makes me feel sorry for the poor rats, humans can be mean when they've a mind for it.

text;
I've got a gun, but I haven't named it. Been nearly stabbed by the Totsuka Blade, but that's the only one I've seen that I've recognized.
And sleep is only dependent on how much coffee you're willing to inhale.
no subject
I don't particularly like coffee. [Picky is the god of mischief.]

For question three, we have weapons in fairy tales like Excalibur or Mjolnir! Or legends like the cursed Murasamas and Kusanagi. But in current times at home the closest thing would be the infamous Regalias - they're the core of the Air Trecks that their corresponding King or Queen wear, in most cases. Their names are dependent on their user and aren't widely known.
Sleep is for everyone! Naps are great.
no subject
Naps are great, they are almost as magical as bacon.

As for famous weapons, hmm ... I suppose there's меч-кладенец—ah, that's the sword Kladenets in English. It's the "self-swinging sword" in some Old Russian fairy tales. There's some other weapons mentions in fairy tales like that, but none of them mentioned as often as that one.
And sleep is absolutely not for the weak! It can be as beneficial as any sort of training regimen.
no subject
I've heard of this sword, what I wouldn't give for a self-swinging sword, it would take a great deal of work out of a battle most certainly. Now Russian legends and fairy tales I am a little rusty on, you might just have to tell me a story some time.
So it's a lot like eating and excercise, the triad of a healthy life.

Sleep is necessary. I think it even takes courage. People who can handle nightmares.
voice
[That's because Loki is childish.]
I am, graciously, unafraid of dreams. I'm not excluded from nightmares, I suppose we all have one, but I know that there is a tangible Nightmare in my world that I could confront...it is cathartic.

My curiosity is always sincere, it's my intention that are always a little dicey. You should know that I do try to put my heart in the right place, it takes efort, but I've been positively angelic!

1: Yes, I do.
2: My body is that weapon, so it doesn't need one. However, there are project names for some of the exchangeable parts, usually to differentiate prototypes from one another.
3: I'm inclined to believe that every world have legends about some mystical weapons. Humans will always create stories.

Part of the reason I'm asking is that I'm looking for similairities, but also a weapon and what an individual names a weapon says something significant to me.

video;
I never understood the thought behind naming my weapons. Beyond what they were called originally, anyway.
video;
I suppose the thought behind it is that naming something imbues it with power and reflects the abilities of the one using the weapon. Like naming an unbreakable sword Uknuselig, perhaps the person weilding it was unbreakable.
[So what does that say about Loki and his "damage twig?" Small and lethal? Unassuming and powerful?]
Though I can see your dilemma, you've an impressive collection. I'm not entierly certain what some of those are called, but they look fun.
