Hello. It's nice to meet all of you. I am the one they call Alibaba. Or I would be if I wasn't dragged from home to a place where I have no reputation.

I'll make this simple. I'm looking to make a deal--information is what I need. Specifically, I want to know more about this porting process.

I don't expect anyone to be able to tell me how it works, but anything you might know would be...helpful. I would be especially interested in speaking with anyone that was able to go home before being brought back.

You can answer freely or we can see if we can reach a deal that works for both of us. I'll be waiting.

[ Kaneki has got a whole bunch of notes, but that isn't something he is willing to share so easily ]

Perceived powers?

Sure, take your time.

It'd would be a good theory, but no.

Even when your head isn't working and you loose all the cognitive perception you have, your power still exist. Even when mind is corrupted, they still do. Even when you are just a shell of yourself and the only thing that is "you" is the image in the mirror, they are there.

And powers can be changed, affected by real objects, nullified, copied, cloned - and the variety of powers is beyond cognition too. There are animals with powers, vampires, ghosts, ghouls, aliens, dinosaurs, even dragons.

Do you have powers thanks to a change in your cognition, back home?

I don't doubt you, though.
But here even natives can get powers, so it's really more than that.

I see. Wouldn't that mean you could just have a lot more powers if you "believed" in it?

Other imPorts? Or the metahumans?

The Porter can give and change powers. Some people had none back home, and the porter gave them new. Other people already had them back home. The Porter considers whatever comes along with you a "power", even if it's your child or your pet, or your gun or your sword. Your biology might also be considered a power; for example, an alien will have the "power" to be its own species. [ kaneki is a ghoul, so that's apparently a power, not biology ]

As for the metahumans. Originally in this world, no native person had powers, however thanks to an imPort by the name of Tony Stark, he created an app for the cellphones that went haywire and gave natives powers: flight, fire, super-speed or enhanced reflexes.

Something like that, yes.

And I don't quite remember what the app was meant to be; rather, it was probably meant to be that but never sold as that. It was created by an evil version of Tony Stark who copied himself into a digital server and then took over body Stark's original body.

I know it sounds really messy and probably insane, but things like this happen.
