Hello. It's nice to meet all of you. I am the one they call Alibaba. Or I would be if I wasn't dragged from home to a place where I have no reputation.

I'll make this simple. I'm looking to make a deal--information is what I need. Specifically, I want to know more about this porting process.

I don't expect anyone to be able to tell me how it works, but anything you might know would be...helpful. I would be especially interested in speaking with anyone that was able to go home before being brought back.

You can answer freely or we can see if we can reach a deal that works for both of us. I'll be waiting.

I have been sent back and forth by the Porter 4 times. In total, I have been in this world for two years and nine months.

I can answer most questions without needing anything else in return, though I am curious to what you'd be able to offer.

I have more, but that would be a good start.

...I am technologically inclined. I could work repairs, access files and data. Depending on the corruption I may even be able to salvage lost data.

I don't know much myself, but two people I know were ported home for about a day or so and came back with different powers.

The Porters seem to mostly bring people here who are young, and people from a certain era. People like me who are older and who are from the relative 'past' are not very common.

Try asking for Charles Xavier; he has been here and gone back multiple times over the course of years and is very forthcoming with information, as well as being generally personable. I've only just arrived, myself, so I have very little advice other than that, unfortunately.

I can tell you at least that there's a distortion in time. I talked to someone who went home back at the exact moment they left, and came back here only to find that little time had passed in this world when they arrived back.

What I wanna know is how they get everything on those files about us. That's a little unsettling. Seeing a picture of myself was an actual shock, we don't even have cameras at home.

It's that distortion I'm trying to figure out, but there doesn't really seem to be a pattern to it.

...Trust me, you aren't the only one. I barely went outside enough back home to be in a picture. Maybe they're generated on our arrival--something from the porters...
